The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you.
Ax had escaped the Controllers on board. Brainy had not been so lucky. Neither had Sam and Tim. And who knew how many others on board had Yeerks wrapped around their brains, controlling their every movement, pretending that everything was normal until the time came to strike.
Who do you trust, podlings?

Re: The Statuary
Gee, what is that cold spot zipping through the air at that speed?
An invisible wall suddenly pops up right in front of the invisible-except-on-infrared Danny.
Re: The Statuary
Re: The Statuary
He's using this body to the fullest extent of its abilities, and he's not pulling his punches.
His attention is caught, though, by the sound of something falling. Something... like a rock and a body. He's not going to waste his time on Mia anymore.
He dashes off in the direction of the sound, hpoing to find the lost piece of Kryptonite.
Re: The Statuary
Mia barely manages to roll away from the staff, getting back to her feet and chasing Robin. Taking a page from Kate's book, she tackles him from behind, bringing her arms around in front to take educated stabs at his solar plexus, or at least the existing wound in his arm. Get the fingers in and squirm them.
Re: The Statuary
"My apologies. I thought you were a threat. I was mistaken."
Moments later, something slammed into both Mia and Tim, knocking them apart.
Re: The Statuary
"Don't concern yourself about the kryptonite," he says to Tim. "I'll handle the Kryptonians. The ectoplasmic hybrid has been...dispatched."
Re: The Statuary
1/2
A forcefield wall slams into her, wraps around her and slams her back to the ground next to Kon--and also slams into Kon to hold him there as well.
"Carry on," he says to Tim, leaving him to the fight, as he goes over to the two of them.
He looks at Supergirl with his had tilted slightly, where she lay pinned on the floor, and a shield springs around him and the two Kryptonians.
"I am not someone to be trusted. This is true."
In a low toneless voice, he says:
"Scream, Kara."
2/2
From where Tim is, it looks as if the box has been opened again, and green light is spilling out, but the light is harmless to Kryptonians--harmless to everyone, really.
Re: 2/2
And then she screamed.
Re: 2/2
Very discreetly, he starts scanning them both and administering medical attention to the unconscious and poisoned Superboy.
Re: 2/2
He hadn't betrayed her.
He hadn't turned on her.
He was still

Until he passed the Statuary. The fight had caught his eye from a distance, and as he got closer, he got more and more curious. Tim was involved - the one person Terry had a connection to, and he was involved in something that seemed pretty nasty. Not to mention a single glimpse Terry had gotten of his face sent horrible chills down his spine.

He sees Terry approach and frowns a little. Mia and the Kryptonians may not let him get away with the ruse that he's normal, but he'd like Terry to come in a little farther. He gives him a slightly rueful, pained smile. "Hey," he says.

"Oh God, no," he whispered.

At least Brainy is keeping Kon and Kara out of commission.

She took a step forward, bowstring drawn. "And really, you never want to play the odds versus humans. We're funny like that."

"Everyone. Freeze."
Because he doesn't know who's doing what.

Tim whirls to face Jaime, a panicked look on his face. "Jaime," he says, sounding relieved to see him. "What the heck is going on?! Mia just went crazy--started shooting at me!"
And it's obvious that he's been injured--he's playing up the poor, hurt Robin card, holding his arm stiffly, and looking pained.

And Jaime knows how Robin fights. It's highly unlikely that he's been slugged up and taken over--he's a Bat after all. Mia's hardass, but not Bat-hardass.
Jaime reacts immediately, holding up his hand and zapping Mia with "population control," which has only just kicked back in again after repairs (it'd been damaged by the first shot of Paco's). It should temporarily stun her nervous system.
He also zaps Brainy, who collapses over the green light.
He makes a judgment call.
It's just the wrong one.

He gives Jaime a smile of relief. "Thanks, man," he says. "I don't know what got into her. She shot me." His eyes are still wide and shocked-looking when he reaches for his belt, and pulls out a complicated-looking device.
The details don't matter that much. It's a Dracon beam--and it's aimed at Jaime. The shocked, panicky look drops away, and he gives Jaime a faint smile. "Dude, you're such a sucker."

The blast hits him square on, and breaks through the shield, shattering the armor more, chips of blue and black flying off, and sending him flying back through a statue.
And there he lays very still, skin still steaming.
