The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you.
Ax had escaped the Controllers on board. Brainy had not been so lucky. Neither had Sam and Tim. And who knew how many others on board had Yeerks wrapped around their brains, controlling their every movement, pretending that everything was normal until the time came to strike.
Who do you trust, podlings?

She grabbed for Xander's arm attempting to twist it around and throw Xander down. It's times like these that her enhanced DNA and years of training really showed their effect.

"Now you, we could use. Be a shame to go to waste."

But she knew better than to try and take down someone with a gun while unarmed herself.
"What the hell do you want."

He doesn't seem to notice Javert. Possibly? Then again, the host was used to random attacks from supernatural creatures for years. Perhaps he is keeping an eye.

He brought the Dracon beam toward the older policeman.
"Got some use for you too."

In all truth, he's trying to distract Xander from Samus so he'll be knocked unconcious.

Xander was about to fire, but he paused for a moment. Brief wavering, and then his features hardened again as he aimed for him.
However before he could fire, there was a blow to the back of his head, and he crumpled to the floor.

Quickly he bent and relieved Xander of his weapon thing. He wasn't sure what it did, but it seemed simple enough to use (point and shoot?). If crew members were going to be attacking each other, he wanted to have some sort of defense other than his tongue.
"Right," he said, straightening and quickly deciding his kilt could not both hold the weapon and stay on, "What do we do with him? Not really any cells for you to lock him in, is there?"
At least, he didn't remember seeing any.

He's ardently awaiting a greatcoat, though, to be rid of the annoying pockets in his plantsuit. From one such pocket, he retrieves his heavy, police-issue iron handcuffs and binds the unconscious Xander's hands behind his back.

"Either of you know this guy?"

It was all she really had left to say. She couldn't think of any reasons why this complete stranger would just threaten her at gunpoint with absolutely no provoking.

...He stares at Chaucer. "Do you know how to use that?" He's going to blow his head off.

She stops and stares at Chaucer, too. She definitely did not want him handling that weapon.

He examines it, peering at the business end. "Point and shoot? With really small, mysteriously hidden bolts?"
That would be a no, Javert.

He grabs Xander by the links between his shackles, and started to drag him in the direction of the med bay. What? He wasn't about to be careful with him.

"...give the weapon to me."
And she holds out her hand to Chaucer for emphasis. She didn't really care if he shot himself but she didn't want to accidentally get shot by this idiot.
As for Javert dragging Xander, she would have done the exact same thing. Not like she was going to waste effort carrying him.

"And be defenseless again? Thank you, no." He switches his hold on the Dracon beam to around its barrel, though, and drops his arm to his side. At least he knows how not to fire it.
