Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing

The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.

The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

"Of course I am." Wanda touched her friend's shoulder. "And I'm here now."

"Thank God. I think I was going insane as the only female Avenger around." She laughed a bit sadly and moved her arms around Wanda, pulling her in for a hug. "God I've missed you so much." She shook her head and sighed. "I never thought I'd ever miss having my best friends around, until they're all gone and I'm left with just plain Peter. Not that he's not amazing, but he's just not you or Jess."

Wanda held her friend. She had no idea who Peter or Jess were besides being Carol's friends. "I've missed you too. You'll have to tell me everything I've missed out on since last I saw you."

"That's not going to happen." She pulled back a bit and frowned. "You don't need to hear any of that damn drama. None of it. Let's just be happy you're here, and maybe if you're lucky I'll introduce you to the Young Avengers and my... well my daughter."

"Your daughter? That's wonderful! When did you have a daughter?"

"Well, when I got here. I adopted her." She blushed a bit and rubbed her upper arms. "Her name's Katara, and she can do these amazing things with water. Bending it's called, but it's manipulating water like I've never seen done before. It's amazing. You need to meet her!"

"Oh, is she a mutant? Sort of like Iceman's powers but with water in general instead of ice?"

"I don't think she's a mutant. Then again, I don't trust anyone around here to check that." She smiled a bit. "But it wouldn't matter if she was. She's still my little girl."

She thought about Iceman's powers and nodded a bit. "A bit like that. But she needs the water to "bend" it. Iceman creates his own ice. I don't think Katara can create water."

"You don't trust the doctors here? ...Are there doctors here?" There was still much to learn about this place and Wanda was sensitive to any hint of new information.

"I know one of the doctor's brother... I could always ask him I guess." She sighed a bit and shook her head. "But it really doesn't matter. I'm just glad that I have her."

"It matters if you don't think the doctors here can be trusted."

"It's more personal reasons. I know one of the doctor's is a Doctor Jean Grey, but I don't know if it's the same woman from our world, or another. I didn't know Ms. Grey back home very well, or at all, so I don't know if she was a doctor or not."

"I don't think she was, at least not that kind of doctor. If it's personal then I won't ask."

"It's okay, Wanda. Out of everyone here, there are only a few that I trust, and you being here makes you one of the tops on that list." She smiled a bit. "It goes back to when I was still in the military. Back when I first got my powers. Just the whole experimenting on me, and all that."
