Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing
The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.
The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

"Thanks, Julian. It's kind of weird to be here, but meeting you is a bonus so far. Can you give me the four-one-one about this place?"

"Sure thing. As it goes, we were all supposedly rescued while our universes were being destroyed by the Ohm, stripped naked, and stuck in slimey pods. Then the people who did that abandoned ship and trashed it, for some reason. Then a bunch of spare pirates took over, and wanted to sell us into slavery, but Stacy started waking us up, and we went and kicked their asses.
"Now we're back to fighting the Ohm. I think... I'm not sure what we're doing next, really."
