Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing

The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.

The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

Mai wasn't quite sure about that herself. They just clicked. They had their moments, occasionally, but for the most part they just seemed to mesh really well. She shrugged at Katara, "I don't know. We just get along."

Katara smiled. "Mm. Maybe you guys were just meant for each other then. If that's the reason...maybe I might not have too much to worry about. It might make things a little easier, when we free Aang."

Somehow, and she didn't know why, she wanted to get advice from the older Fire Nation girl.

Mai blinked. Since when had Katara and Aang been together? Oh well. She wasn't about to question it. More power to them, she supposed.

"I guess not," she replied, "...good luck."

She smiled. "You know, if you guys ever have any problems, or anything we can help you with, just ask, okay? We're the only ones left from our worlds: we shouldn't become strangers."

Katara nodded. "I have lots of training to catch up with, so I'll need all the luck I can get." She paused. "But thanks Mai, for your advice. You didn;t say a lot, but it still helped."

"Yeah. I know," Mai replied, glancing away to look over the crowd, "We both know."

Mai blinked at that last part - she hadn't said anything particularly helpful, had she?

"You're... welcome?"

Katara nodded. Mai wasn't one for a lot of words, but she learned by now that what words she did say she meant.

Katara laughed at Mai's expression. "Sometimes listening helps as much as advice."
