Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing
The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.
The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.

It's Inara's motion of pushing her hair over her shoulder that catches Jamie's attention. The color looks a little darker than Victoria's, but he's not entirely sure if it's a trick of the light or not. He moves closer, trying to get a better look.
Not Victoria, no. But...it is one of the most beautiful women Jamie has ever seen, and he's having problems taking his eyes off of her. He's still looking, in fact, when he walks right into one of the walls of the observation deck.
