Do swords make it dangerous, or just interesting? [Closed]

As usual, Static really hadn't thought this whole thing through. They were going to meet, here, after training. That was basic; it made sense. They'd given each other some time to head back, clean up after the horrific spectacle that was Super-powered Rugby... who won and who lost was obviously not an issue, since no one was really sure what happened (obviously, the rules of the sport should have been explained beforehand). It was going to be casual, that much they'd set up. He had his disc charged and ready to take them on a nice fly around the city, maybe through some other areas of the ship.

That was really as far as he planned.

It was now occurring to him, five minutes before they'd agreed to meet, that he should have though about her weapon situation; she had swords and a fear of heights. This could end very, very badly. Not that bad endings were unusual to Static, but still, that didn't make them something he enjoyed.

He adjusted the nice shirt he'd dug out of storage (whoever it'd belonged to before, it fit him well enough), and checked his breath one more time.

"Well, here goes nothing..." Virgil said to himself with a sigh. It was do or die time.

"Unngh!" She was flung back against his chest by the initial force of acceleration. still though her grip over his hand tightened she still laughed and grinned. Finally having gotten over her fear and into the reckless thrill of the ride Rose wanted all she could get out of it.

Her head turned back, hair whipping int he wind created by their speed. Nose bumped along Static's cheek as she spoke loud enough to be heard over the roar of sound in his ear. "You know..I have to admit, this is kinda hot."

He was able to joke, a good sign that things were going well between them. She leaned back more into him as he took them through rolls, twists, turns and a loop. Enough aerial acrobatics to make her weak in the knees and still shaking with gales of excited laughter.

When he slowed down, and seemed in more conscious control of what he was doing she offered him a mock pout, her voice silky in his ear. "You know.... we really need to work on your endurance."

"Ohh your shower or mine?" She was joking...right? Hard to tell when she hooked her arm tight around him like that and grinned that devilish grin.

"I think you can hold up with endurance, I have faith in you. And hey, if not we'll just have to put in some serious training time won't we?"

"I'm datin' the man in the penthouse. The folks would be so proud." Seems she just could not stop grinning, even to that somewhat off color joke. Her mother was after all a successful madame and daddy... best left unsaid really.

"So we're really gonna do this huh?" She looked at him, and his look of surprise lead her to clarify. "The Outsiders I mean, a team of our own. With our own rules and none of the shiny happy heroes telling us what to do." The rest? Oh hell yes they were going to be doing that.

"So how about you and me hit the showers and discus this somewhere a little more private?"

This date had been unique and it had shown her Virg had a lot more going on then anyone else saw. He tried to be so controlled all the time and yet he could cut loose. He had a spark of something not so squeaky clean that attracted her like a magnet.

"You know, I have all sorts of close quarters combat skills. I can be very valuable to the team, not to mention the team leader." Yeah she was still used to having to prove herself and her worth, it showed now and then.
