Do swords make it dangerous, or just interesting? [Closed]
As usual, Static really hadn't thought this whole thing through. They were going to meet, here, after training. That was basic; it made sense. They'd given each other some time to head back, clean up after the horrific spectacle that was Super-powered Rugby... who won and who lost was obviously not an issue, since no one was really sure what happened (obviously, the rules of the sport should have been explained beforehand). It was going to be casual, that much they'd set up. He had his disc charged and ready to take them on a nice fly around the city, maybe through some other areas of the ship.
That was really as far as he planned.
It was now occurring to him, five minutes before they'd agreed to meet, that he should have though about her weapon situation; she had swords and a fear of heights. This could end very, very badly. Not that bad endings were unusual to Static, but still, that didn't make them something he enjoyed.
He adjusted the nice shirt he'd dug out of storage (whoever it'd belonged to before, it fit him well enough), and checked his breath one more time.
"Well, here goes nothing..." Virgil said to himself with a sigh. It was do or die time.

"Yeah, we are. I mean, we're still going to have rules... Like I don't want any of us killing unless we really, really have to. Frankly, I'd like to avoid bloodshed as much as possible, 'cause I'm finding more often than not it's mine." He shrugged. "I'm just hoping I can really get the charter to slide past command well enough that they'll leave us alone and we can actually do things our way."

This date had been unique and it had shown her Virg had a lot more going on then anyone else saw. He tried to be so controlled all the time and yet he could cut loose. He had a spark of something not so squeaky clean that attracted her like a magnet.
"You know, I have all sorts of close quarters combat skills. I can be very valuable to the team, not to mention the team leader." Yeah she was still used to having to prove herself and her worth, it showed now and then.

There were a number of rather dirty comments he thought of he could say, but none of them seemed to capture the moment just right. So, instead he went with an old standby; say nothing at all.
Of course, that was until she commented on her skills. That was an opening he couldn't ignore.
"What, you think I don't know that? Just because I won doesn't mean you don't have skill. I've seen enough unconscious goons to know that. On the other hand, I do always enjoy personal demonstrations..." If there was one person she didn't actually have to prove anything to, it was him. She'd saved his life, after all. Not alone, but still.
