Otter Hunting (Before Marco/Rachel are brought back to Quarantine)
So basically the Falstiin Blade/Trowel is doubling as an Otter Locater these days.
The Doctor thinks it’s poetic. He might even be a bit smug about it.
Currently he’s prowling about the depths of Stacy, taking it one level at a time and yes, he’s well aware that this is what it’s coming all down to: Time. Or rather time unraveling, and not in the way it ought to in a situation like this. From his study of Kon in the Medbay and what he told him, it’s almost acting….selectively, which is odd. That sort of interference isn’t normal and it’s almost like someone’s picking and choosing at will. Is there an equivalent of Time Lords in this universe? It’s a bit of a nasty thought. Alternate universe Gallifrey, possibly without a Time Lock to keep them at bay. “Nasty” doesn’t do it justice. Hell of an understatement, really. First thing’s first though! First the otter, then Marco, then hopefully sorting out the immediate effects of this time skip backward.
Without the TARDIS.
Or…even a basic idea if time works the same in this universe.
Yeah. All of that. Weird and scary and everything and he has no definite plan here (yet). It’s terribly exciting.
“Let’s try this way,” the Doctor says to his companion, holding the Falstiin Otter Locater out in front of him like a divining rod. The wires and glowy bits hanging off the Otter Locater loop back to his companion and the ball of tubing he’s asked them to hold. It’s short of being a rubber-band ball but not by much. Better not call it that to his face though, he might get offended.
[[OOC: The Doctor will generally approach someone he has CR with for this. Basically they're just running around the ship looking for the TARDIS otter in order to use it to find Marco]]
