How could he sleep with all of this on his plate?

Last time at the command center... )

Could he really build morphers and distribute them? With his original friends absent and increasingly unlikely to be released by Stacy, that meant creating a new team from the crew members here. It was a thought that had a list of implications increasing every second. Clearly, this fledgling idea in the back of his mind would require some careful consideration before he acted.

This thought process, he believed, would be a little easier away from this place that contained so many memories. After copying the blueprints to his omnicom and gathering the raw materials he found, he exited the Command Center and made his way up to the observation deck. It was late at night, and therefore unlikely to be very crowded. That was a good sign, he thought, but late night conversation wouldn't exactly hurt him either.

Billy found a comfortable meat-couch and started tinkering with this first Green morpher, allowing his worries to sink to the back of his mind. From what he had seen on the blueprint, this Power granted weaponry far more versatile than his own. There would not be arsenal envy with the new Green Ranger if he went through with this, Billy told himself.

Beyond what was going on, things seemed a bit tame for Sasami. Though she had been falling into the habit of helping Nathan with his work and practicing her newfound magic via Negi's Pactio, she missed some of the better things of being a kid, like actually having some sort of fun.

It was probably why she made her way to the Sensoriums and just let something random form up. Suddenly, it felt like home - trees, trees and more trees formed within the now-virtual forest. True, she could have gone to Hydroponics for this, but she didn't want to disturb anything special there. A big smile formed on her face as she ran up to one tree and started trying to climb it. She wanted to see what was at the top of it all...
Alex was sitting in one of the terminal rooms, sitting in front of the large glowing screen with his Omnicomm hooked in. Alice was fast asleep at the top of the console, having exhausted herself from exploring. Lines of code glowed in green as he typed away, working on his latest project. A training simulation for that demon umbrella girl he had met. It just needed some tweaking of the AI he had made for that game Mao had stole- but since Mao had stole that game, he had to re-write the AI as well.

Not realizing that he had left the door open he was singing this song as he typed. He was very good at forgetting about doors and locks. He was also not so bad at singing for such a shy teen. It wasn't any sort of professional material, but it was the sort of voice that could have earned him a solo or two in high school chorus. That is, if he was able to sing with even one person watching him.

Well, of all the times he had been using the media library- since his laptop still was not compatible with the Omnicomm- forgetting to close and lock the door once wasn't too terribly bad? Was it?

Things were on their way up.

That wasn’t to say that they were necessarily there yet, but the dual parasite horror shows were over, at least. She’d generated a true stroke of cultural genius by proposing the transfer of the Miss Macross pageant to Stacy. And, most importantly for the next two hours, she’d raided Hydroponics for enough vegetables for a completely fresh dinner. It wasn’t an idol’s life on Galaxy, but she wasn’t dying from an incurable disease, being held hostage, or eating goo.

She pinned up her long hair to alleviate some of the sticky humidity and slung her bag of produce over a shoulder. There was no reason to bore herself on the walk back to the cute place she’d been battling dust in, right? Now what was a song that hadn’t had a place in a while…? )

So what if she was being noisy? People who were busy paying attention to anything else needed to drop it and listen to her song anyway!
