Just Gotta Have Fun...! [Open]

Beyond what was going on, things seemed a bit tame for Sasami. Though she had been falling into the habit of helping Nathan with his work and practicing her newfound magic via Negi's Pactio, she missed some of the better things of being a kid, like actually having some sort of fun.

It was probably why she made her way to the Sensoriums and just let something random form up. Suddenly, it felt like home - trees, trees and more trees formed within the now-virtual forest. True, she could have gone to Hydroponics for this, but she didn't want to disturb anything special there. A big smile formed on her face as she ran up to one tree and started trying to climb it. She wanted to see what was at the top of it all...

Somehow, Alessa was always able to find Sasami, even with all of the different people on the ship. There was the fact that she was an alien, but there was also her new found pact with that magic boy Negi that had made her even more extraordinary. That interested her only because now Sasami was inadvertently tied to that vampire Evangeline. Alessa could only wonder what would come of that, especially concerning Sasami's last encounter with Evangeline.

Walking into the Sensorium, she saw that Sasami was climbing a tree. A moment later, Sasami would see her demon friend atop the highest branch, looking down on her.

"Having fun?"

"It seems...intriguing," Alessa said, "that you would choose this as a form of recreation. Some people might say this to be something beneath your age, that the day of climbing trees is for the carefree younger child."

Not that Alessa believed that. In her experience, people who said things like that usually engaged in actions of an entirely bizarre fashion. In all honesty, she was actually just curious at Sasami's answer.

"How are you today, Sasami. How is Negi treating you?"

[identity profile] demon-alessa.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"I suppose not," Alessa said, who supposed that being perched on the top branch of a tree was hardly any more mature than climbing one. In any case., it was good to see her friend again.

"Good. He would be severely punished if the opposite were true. And how are you fairing, concerning your new magical training?"

Alessa shrugged. "I don't care what other people like. If every time I meet someone I have to worry about offending them, its not worth the effort. By my nature they will already be afraid of me, so pretending otherwise is illogical. But if you are that positive about the magical boy, I'll listen to you. Eva likely sees SOMETHING in him, otherwise she wouldn't be training him."

Alessa nodded. "How good is 'so far?'"

Ashley Williams didn't get bored easily of very often. So after getting her normal patroling of the ship done, Ashley had decided to check out the Sensoriums which she didn't do too often. In thinking of it, it reminded her of the training center at Pinnacle Station. Spying Sasami atop the trees, her big sister-esque side began to appear. She kinda liked the kid, herself.

"Hey wait! What are you doing up there?"

Though she doubted Sasami could actually see her small smile at her own overreacting, she gave her one anyway. She figured all the kids onboard needed to have a little fun. Let them be kids for atlest a little while. "Well be careful. I don't want to have to explain to the medical team, what might happen. So I'll just be standing watch."

Ed had been keeping his head down for a while, barely surfacing from his studies only for the sake of eating. And even then, he seemed tired, but satisfied.

Walking into the sensoriums he noticed the kidlet clambering up into the tree-tops and grinned. Selecting a tree of his own, he began to climb expertly, scrambling up after her until he was hanging from a branch, a secure grip on the trunk. "Having fun?" he asked, hanging upside down.

Ed laughed and he indicated the floor. "I just saw you clambering up so I came up on the other tree. Don't loose your grip now." He added teasingly as he swung upright and straddled the sturdy looking branch.

"Yeah. It's a nice view though," said Ed as he pointed to the treetop canopy. "From here, you could see everything you need to. And then some."

He grinned and leaned against the trunk. "So, just come to enjoy yourself?"

[identity profile] fulltinyalchemy.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
"True enough," said Ed, leaning against the tree and putting up his feet on a bough. "Here, it's a little safer too."

"I've been studying mostly," said Ed. "I want to make sure everything's perfect before I start teaching people."

"Alchemy's a precise science," replied Ed, swinging to another branch and perching atop that one. "If you mess up, you might wind up creating something not right. It's like all sciences, just a little more... well, energetic and specific."

[identity profile] fulltinyalchemy.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Well if you look at it from a scientific point of view, magic's got it's own laws. Laws that, well, put scientists into states of disbelief but there's laws."

Ed shrugged. "The most I got out of it was "magic must defeat magic" or something like that. Sounds like sound advice."

[identity profile] fulltinyalchemy.livejournal.com 2010-09-20 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Ed laughed at that as he watched Sasami wobble to her feet. "Well, I'm sure there's a REASON for it, but something like that makes more sense than "magically inclined people must wear purple on Thursday" or something like that."

[identity profile] short-changed.livejournal.com 2010-09-25 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Ed laughed lightly and held out his hand for her to take so he could swing her over to the stronger branch he sat on.
