Quarantine 1 Opens...

Stacy jerks and shudders to a sudden stop, likely upsetting more than a few things already upset because the comms have stopped working. And deep down inside Stacy, on the first level, a little section thoughtfully titled "Contagion Containment and Quarantine" spilled open.

Hal 9000 had opened it up. And the things that had been kept there were still alive.

Or at least, they were moving...

Their groans echoed through the lower level as they spilled out of Quarantine 1, shambling and shuffling toward the Hub. The Hub would take them where they wanted to go. And what they wanted to do first was make some new friends.

So they went to the Pod Caverns. Then, after that, the zombies started heading up to the City...

"I think the advance team got the attention of the people on the bridge." Whether that meant they were at the bridge or discovered en route remained to be seen. But Leon's gut told him the latter was more likely.

The Force was like a rush of icy water, sudden and foreboding, then gone— someone on the ship had just died. Obi-Wan grit his teeth, and put his hand on his lightsaber.

"I'm going to agree with him," Obi-Wan indicated Tony with a nod, "Whatever's happening up there, it's certainly begun. I can't help but assume something's coming."

"You're tellin' me," Peter replies from his web on the ceiling, "I think this is just an excuse for them to have a party with out us."

He may be busying himself with quips, but it's to distract himself from the slow thrumming in his head, getting louder by the minute.

Claire approached then, looking like she'd been hurrying.

"Leon," she stopped, looking around at the others briefly before back at the Chief of Security. "Kirk sent me to check up on you guys and get a status report." Don't laugh at Claire for willingly being sent somewhere. She volunteered.

He didn't laugh, though there was a briefly a quietly amused look.

"No comms, obviously, but no injuries from getting bumped around and the lookouts haven't spotted anything coming."

Leon got a slight eyeroll for his quietly amused look, before Claire got serious, nodding her head.

"Okay. Anything you guys need?" It'd be nice if the super uneventful business was a permanent state, but she knew better than that.

Leon wanted an idea of what they were facing, but he knew Claire couldn't answer that.

"Not out here, but tell Gauron to have ammo ready to go. Everything covered inside?"

She nodded her head, making a mental note to stop by the armory on her way back to Kirk.

"When I left the medbay all the kids were safe and together, and on my way out despite everyone looking a little shaken, we look prepared. I won't know about everything else until I check back in." Since the other runners should be back by the time she gets there, too.

"Alright..." As prepared as they were, he hoped they could handle it. "You should go report back to Kirk."

Claire nodded again.

"I'll be back. Be careful, all right?" It was unlikely things were going to stay quiet for very long, and she had that sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that told her to keep her hand close to her gun. Brushing that away for the moment, though, she gave a slight wave before turning to head back inside.
