Phase 1 - Team GTFO - Getting Ready for Launch
Team GTFO gathers in the Living Area Level, near what appears to be a blank wall near the Sensoriums, and now it's time to distribute equipment, go over the specifics of the plan, and get ready to commence Operations. With a capital 'O'.
There's a multitude of robot drones and other equipment about.

The suit is now brittle and can't regenerate. It can't heal him either. He's ripped away from the console, and thrown into the forcewall.
"I--noticed."
Another tentacle slams Jaime into the forcefield, and the suit starts to chip and break apart. He jumps over a tentacle but another snags his foot and sends him slamming into the forcefield wall again.
"Plan...B. It's a crapshoot, but--"
"Do it! Remember what--what you have to do. "
Now for the closer. It wasn't going to work if he kept getting slamming around like this.
"What, Hal, you're an AI, right? Foolproof and incapable of error! You're supposed to be efficient! You can't just kill me?"

He's finally snagged, and drawn down to the floor, hands bound.
I am not unreasonable, Jaime Reyes. How do you wish to die?

"JAIME!" he shouted from where he was still trapped on the other side of the room. "JAIME!"
No no no no nonononono NO!

She had to be able to get through. She had to.
She couldn't.

She hated feeling helpless.

"Does it really matter, Hal?" Jaime asks.
He's shaking.
no subject
It doesn't.
I would allow you last words, but it is pointless, as you are all going to die. My masters have decided this is so.
A gun turret comes out from the wall and aims at Jaime's head.

The armor there is cracked--there's no way it can block anything.
This is it. Like the occasional nightmare, after he found out what happened to Ted Kord. Foremost on his mind is his family, of course. Every time he hears Paco's fists pound on the forcefield behind him, he has to hold back a wince. Doing this to them again is nearly unthinkable.
He hopes it's not for nothing. He has one last ace up his sleeve. Whether it pans out or not really depends on what happens next. They'll find out soon enough what he did--if they stay alive long enough, it could save them.
That's a big "if," though, and he won't be able to watch them do it.
One of the safe facts of life--and being a hero--is that sometimes there's just that bullet with your name on it. Age, how good a person you are, the people that love you--none of it matters. What matters if you go down defiant, and if you screw the bad guy with you as you go down.
"You and your masters can rot in h--"
