What dreams may come [Open, bendytimed to before GTFO plot]
In her sealed, silent, sensory-deprived meditation room, Roxie is sleeping. It's a special sleep: for all dreams are connected, she knows, and by spinning her mind out along the web of thought, she might step into others...
[Roxie is dream-hopping, getting a look at the subconsciousnesses of the other people on the ship. So, how it works - if you're interested, go ahead and post with a dream your character is having, and Roxie will slip into it, subtle at first but more obvious as she tries to satisfy her curiosity. Just her being around will make the dreamer more lucid and more likely to remember the whole thing when they wake up.
Also, feel free to ask any OOC questions in a thread here, or poke me on AIM at 'anagramarye'.]

And then there was a bit of movement not far from them. "Not many shadows can talk," a voice said, soft and wary. A darker shadow among the darkness, in the form of something humanish.

"Ooo, a sneaky mental presence," Dream Weaver commented. "Hmm, let me guess. You've been telling people to call you Shadow, right?"
"That's correct."

"He's rather cut off from the others. I've seen him around. Doesn't like people," Dream Weaver commented. "Or...so I thought."
"You two shouldn't be in other people's dreams. You're not likely from my head," Shadow hissed.

"I don't really care about your justification, either," Shadow said coldly.

"Would you like us to leave?"

"Well, it would be rather rude to stay after he's been so direct," Dream Weaver commentd.

Dream Weaver moved with Roxie. "Guess we made him lucid," she commented.
What? It's the first time she met a dream walker besides her that hadn't tried to kill her.

Her metaphysical exit is, apparently, a spiral staircase that sinks down into the imaginary earth.

"It's all about how you visualize things," she says. "To me, the Oneirois is like a substrate of the individual mind. Go down past the reptilian brain and you start to touch the older things we're all a part of."

She'd like to know more stuff about dreams.

They twist down and down and down seemingly endlessly, if Selene follows as Roxie heads downwards.
"So this isn't your usual method of getting around," Roxie comments lightly.

And out past the landing spirals a crazy mish-mash of a city, impossibly (http://i35.tinypic.com/n12hp1.jpg) surreal (http://i37.tinypic.com/30wwl69.jpg).

She looked around the area when her eyes adjusted and whistled. "So, what area is this?" She asked, looking at Roxie. Huh, now she looked familiar. Too bad she didn't have a name for the girl's face.

Pretty wildly and incoherently, apparently.
