What dreams may come [Open, bendytimed to before GTFO plot]

In her sealed, silent, sensory-deprived meditation room, Roxie is sleeping. It's a special sleep: for all dreams are connected, she knows, and by spinning her mind out along the web of thought, she might step into others...

[Roxie is dream-hopping, getting a look at the subconsciousnesses of the other people on the ship. So, how it works - if you're interested, go ahead and post with a dream your character is having, and Roxie will slip into it, subtle at first but more obvious as she tries to satisfy her curiosity. Just her being around will make the dreamer more lucid and more likely to remember the whole thing when they wake up.

"I am a being of perception, really. That's what a dream is for how I operate. All a matter...of how one chooses to see it. I see myself elsewhere, thus I am elsewhere," Dream Weaver said with a shrug.

She looked around the area when her eyes adjusted and whistled. "So, what area is this?" She asked, looking at Roxie. Huh, now she looked familiar. Too bad she didn't have a name for the girl's face.

"It's a layer," Roxie says as she pauses at the edge of stepping into the surreal city. "An echo of how the dreams and passions in this area congeal together."

Pretty wildly and incoherently, apparently.

"So that's it. Second time I've been in an area like this," Dream Weaver commented, stepping into the city. "First time where I wasn't restricted though."

"Restricted?"

The dream-city is... well, 'surreal' is the only proper way to describe it. Flashes of sound and sight out of the corner of the eye make it seem busy and bustling, even though no people can ever be caught in direct vision. And the pseudo-gravity seems to angle in different directions at a whim...

"Someone with the same powers as me, but had a bunch of coma patients to boost their power. So they confined me to get an even stronger boost to put my city to sleep and under his whim," Dream Weaver explained. "My teammates managed to stop him though in the real world."

It took a minute for her to adjust to the gravity. She'd been pretty well confined last time to not really notice anything like this.

She also drove that guy to temporary insanity afterwards. She does not like her powers being manipulated.

Roxie pads quickly down one of the side streets, feet barely touching the geometrically-arranged cobblestones. Where she's heading isn't entirely clear, though.

"Careful," she says. "This place isn't completely nice."

Dream Weaver kept up with Roxie. "Nightmare beast not nice or normal chaotic dream not nice?"

"Parts of everybody, and very few people are nice all the way through, not nice," Roxie says.

They're now heading swiftly through a street market. Garish vendors hawk incomprehensible wares at them. One nearly assaults Selene with an oven-roasted parrotleopard.

Dream Weaver held up a hand, a wall appearing to block the oven roasted parrotleopard. "I see what you mean," she said. She was used to being on guard in dreams. Some could be violent.
