Relax: Unconscious land is starting to get to you. [Open]
She hadn't kept track of the days much anymore. She did know that when she tried to sleep though, it wasnt a nice fitful sleep. She hadnt expected as much to begin with, considering she hadn't had that kind of sleep since being here, but somehow, her dreams had gotten progressively worse. Now there would be glimpses of things, bits and pieces of a memeory she was only starting to unravel, a secret fear she had that would make her feel apprehensive and uneasy when she woke up. She alwaus seemed to wake up the same way too: with a start, tears running down her cheeks. She couldn't figure out why she would wake up like that in the first place, but she would somehow get the feeling that she was forgetting something, and for a moment, there was an air of somebody she cared about sharing her pain.
It was a memory she grasped at, almost had then lost again.
This time, she just sat up, wiping her face and taking an exasperated breath. Not much had changed: they'd gotten a new person is the brig, who was just as likely to be here a long time like anyone else. Besides, Katara was curious as to who were the new arrivals on the ship: would they be anyone she knew?
(Open tag for Katara for visitors/cell mates, but also a general cell post if any visitors might want to drop in on the detainees.)

Of course, he was tense as hell being in there. Not to mention his neck itched like that collar was still on it. He tried his best to look relaxed despite that. He probably wasn't succeeding.
"Hey."

"Hey Julian," Katara said. "You need to get better at not looking like you expect Leon to throw you in here! Doesn't look like this place gives you good memories!"

"I've been in jail before. Can't say I was terribly fond of it," he told her in a bit of an understatement.
"How're they treating you down here?" She didn't look like she was being tortured, at least.

Katara shrugged. "Not bad, really. That Jason guy is a little creepy, but I'm otherwise fine."
no subject
"Is this going to be a habit of yours?"
no subject
Katara shook her head furiously. "Never AGAIN. I hate being in this cell, even if I kinda deserve it."
no subject
"Besides, I'm betting half the ship has given you the speech already, haven't they?"

"This is why you need to hang with me. I'll teach you the fine art of how to make people miserable, screw them over, and get away with it."
no subject
"And why would a hero know something like that?" Katara asked with a hint of pretend disapproval. "What exactly have you been doing on your world anyway?"
no subject
"Sometimes doing the right things means you have to be a bit of a jerk, but you do need to know where the line is."
no subject
"Glad to hear it," Katara said, grinning. "That's usually my things anyway, to coe up with all of the heartfelt speeches and talk about fighting for the greater good. Your job is to look good doing all that stuff."
Katara nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."

He did stop, though, when had to be a bit more serious.
"Also... as messed up as everyone is around here, I don't think anyone is your enemy. Last thing you need to do is make enemies where you don't have to."
no subject
Katara nodded. "No, I don't think anyone is my enemy either. I think after this is done, there will be plenty of time to evaluate who the real enemy is."
