Despite a few tricks up their sleeves, the Conspirators hardly stood a chance. It's all or nothing as they make a few last ditch attempts to kill the Yeerk, and as the fight grinds to a screeching halt.

Will they kill the Yeerk?

Will someone other than the Yeerk get killed in the crossfire?

Katara was NOT used to flailing victims, especially when they were recently injured. She didn't like it, but she used her water and pushed him firmly back to the ground.

"What are YOU doing!?" Katara scolded. "Trying to make yourself worse? Stay put! We're trying to make sure as few people as possible are hurt, and you aren't helping!"

Ax froze where he was and focused on his breathing. Being pinned down wasn't quite enough to set off his claustrophobia, but it was plenty enough to make him angry.

< Let. Me. Up, > he said, glancing between the two of them. He wasn't certain about Katara, but Leela had seemed to be working with Sam. He peered around with a stalk-eye, trying to determine if he could trip them and knock them over, which would hopefully free him from Katara's water bonds.

Katara kept him pinned down, but doing that didn't stop the tears from falling. She was more than a little disappointed in herself right now, and if something happened to this prince...

"NO AX!" Katara said, her voice breaking. "Stay here! It's too dangerous and security has this under control! You need to rest! Please."

Katara couldn't say no. Hadn't Danny released her when she asked. She let him go, looking more than a little scared.

"I'm sorry I did that."

Ax scrambled to his hooves, wincing a little at his body's protests. The fact that she had let him up at all relaxed him enough that he didn't immediately go on the offensive.

< What happened while I was unconscious? > he asked, peering around at the fight still going on.

"It exchanged hands," Katara said. "Last I checked, some police officer woman had it. She's gone farther up though, I don't think you'll catch up. The security team is on it. I'm just helping injured right now."

Never mind what side she was working for previously. He could find that out afterward.

Well, technically he was supposed to be taking care of the non-combatants and let the others take care of the Yeerk...

"We're in the makeshift healing hut now. The injured are on the battlefield. I've been coming back and forth bringing them here. Just look around."

Ax nodded once and carefully located an injured person before easing himself out of the makeshift hut.
