Now Chris at this point was a bit annoyed. Even though he knew he shouldn't get his hopes up every time new arrivals came, but he couldn't help it. He came to the sensoriums to let out some personal frustration. And there was the 'person' responsible for much of it. An image of Xaviax appeared in his human guise, a seemingly normal man.

Chris formed a tight fist and just stood staring at the image.

"Well, I'm willing to listen. I get a lot of complicated stories," Selene said, walking around the hologram Chris had summoned, studying him curiously.

"Well... You remember me mentioning Kamen Riders before right?" Chris questioned Selene.

Selene nodded. "Yeah. The hero types around where you live, right?" He never did explain how he would be 'well known' in connection to them, now that she thought about it.

He took in a deep breath. This was the tricky part and whether she would believe him or not. "Yeah, but what I might or might not have told you the whole story. The Kamen Riders are the defenders of Ventara: basically a world behind mirrors. Each Rider has what is called an Advent Deck, the source of their powers. Until one day they were betrayed by General Xaviax with the help of a traitor and they were all 'vented'. This means they were sent to a world between Earth and Ventara. With me so far?"

He did certainly know a lot though. Certainly made Selene suspect a few things about why would be well known.

She nodded. "Yeah, I'm following."

While Chris was a tad conflicted, he decided to go on with his explanation. "There was one Rider who escaped the Venting, Kamen Rider Wing Knight. Also known as Len. Xaviax used most of the Decks to create a group of corrupt Kamen Riders by giving them to their Earth twins. He uh, uses their fears and desires to trick them. He appears as someone different to each person and then he lures them in."

He said the last couple of sentences with a bit of regret.

Selene looked at Chris, listening before she nodded. "It's a terrifying thing, when people can create the fears and desires of others. It's a strong manipulation and it can be difficult to keep such abilities from being abused. And when they are...it's even harder for those who have to face them to go against them without falling back at least a few steps," she said, looking at Xaviax, feeling her own deep hatred forming for the man already.

She couldn't make things a reality and she didn't instinctively know what one had, but to hear someone that she could easily become to be like...it unnerved her greatly and angered her.

But she kept that repressed. "Earth twins. Do you mean the Kamen Riders all had twins or that there were those on Earth who were....like their dimensional counterparts?" She asked.

Choosing not to comment for now about Selene's first comments, he turns as he answers her last statements.

"The latter. According to Len, the only reason I (and the other Riders) can use the Advent Decks is because right down to appearance and DNA matching and everything, they looked just like us."

Give her a second there.

He just admitted it.

Rather blatantly at that.

She looked at him in mild surprise. She'd suspected before, after all with his statements of before, how he was connected was limited, but to say it so straight forward was a surprise. "So you're one of them?"

Chris sighed. She really made him feel... awkward at times. Give him a break, Selene. He's new at this hero stuff.

"Yeah. Sorry for not telling you outright, Selene but... I sure if I could trust you then."

"Actually, I kind of suspected it. I'm just surprised you told me outright after not telling me in the first place," she admitted and shrugged. "But I'm used to figuring out stuff like that for Helen."

She smiled. "So, not angry or anything. So you're a dimensional double thing and this guy here has tormented you with your worst fears and desires?" She asked, pointing to the hologram.
