After the announcement over the network, Splicer set off to break out the snacks he had stored, the drinks and set the out on the club floor. He wanted people to have fun and enjoy some care free time. Morale had been fluctuating as of late and a good head kept the troops going in times of strain. What better way to pick up morale than a good fun time with friends and just kicking back and doing your thing?

That's why he was now occupying his booth and taking any requests for the people that came by, greeting and waving at fellow crew and friends. He intended to make this as fun as possible for each and everyone. Good times seemed to be scarce in the future to come, so he'd do his best to make this one of the good ones.

Maria might have been getting overwhelmed, but to someone like Mashu, this was so much fun! Then again, floating around and over the people present did make it a lot easier!

Seeing the other girl seemingly a bit frustrated made Mashu float over and wave, "Oooooy!" she said in greeting.

Hi! Can you see uh... How to get out of this?

Yup! Just follow me! Or I can carry you to the clear area too!

Lead the way! I uh.. Can't really see over people!

Hee, okay! Just follow! [Mashu floated a little lower to her level and pushed and shoved people lightly out of the way so they could make their way through!]

Maria will quickly follow the other girl out of the way, looking less overwhelmed but still very out of her element.

[Mashu led the out of the crowd and into the clearing where she could easily see the refreshments and the DJ booth nearby.]

Ace whata? Oh you mean the person who owns the business? Though I wouldn't call it a business since he doesn't charge. What kind of deal is that?! Free things.. pah!

Maybe its a morale boosting function? I mean we're supposed to be in some sort of war so maybe this is to help the people who aren't used to dealing with it deal with it?

Hmm, I guess. Actually I think you're right! That would make sense... In that case, I hope it works! Wars are really draining, both economically and mentally.

Tell me about it. I've spent most of my life having to beat repair costs out of the other side on my home world.

And people don't take that into account! Specially the reckless bruisers and roughnecks. Throwing themselves at the enemy like it's a game and then who pays for it when they come back all banged up?! The medic crew and the repair crew!

It can be taxing, mhm!

Well, some things are designed for charging in and absorbing damage, those are the troops you want doing that so the more fragile ones can do their thing, but I do see what you're saying.

Yup! But you always get those types. The ones that charge in head first without thinking. Sheesh!

That's really how I was trained to fight, but... I fly a heavy assault gear. When you're in a giant angry slab of armor that's a viable tactic I guess.

Yeah, that makes more sense. Back in Midas, there were Assets made for those kinds of fights. I was more of a tactical and long range Asset.

Yeah, there are a ton of glass cannon gears, or ranged assault ones. The pilots either learn to move a lot, or they die.

Pretty much, or you can always take them out fast and then you don't have any risk of getting harmed!

Oh 95% of my salvage was from people who didn't know what they were doing. Still never yielded a very satisfying fight.

So how were fights in your world like? Are they similar to the ones here? Have you had a chance to face the opposition in this war?

I was the gatekeeper of Shevat. Anyone that tried to get in had to come through me so... Most of the fights were a large group of people trying to get past me. Other parts of the war, well, I couldn't leave the city for long so I didn't really get to see much of them.

This war, no I haven't seen the opposition yet, but I'm anxious to flatten them.

Ah, neat! So you're more of a heavy defender type? Like a phalanx?

I just arrived but I'm eager to see what this whole thing is all about.

Something like that. Me and Seibzehn are high defense and damage... Just really not all that fast.

Oh neat! Is your friend on this vessel too? Or are they still in the goop things in the cave?
