All work and no play makes you a dull boy! [Open Post/Event]

Who: Splicer, and anyone ever! Yes that means YOU!
Where: Hunter's Pad
Summary: Party till you drop, release some stress, just have fun!
Warnings: Open party event, discretion is advised! ~~Excessive partying~~

After the announcement over the network, Splicer set off to break out the snacks he had stored, the drinks and set the out on the club floor. He wanted people to have fun and enjoy some care free time. Morale had been fluctuating as of late and a good head kept the troops going in times of strain. What better way to pick up morale than a good fun time with friends and just kicking back and doing your thing?

That's why he was now occupying his booth and taking any requests for the people that came by, greeting and waving at fellow crew and friends. He intended to make this as fun as possible for each and everyone. Good times seemed to be scarce in the future to come, so he'd do his best to make this one of the good ones.

"Yup! You have it going on!" Ahri encouraged her with a big smile.

"C'mon just enjoy yourself. Feel the happiness of simply having fun!"

Ahri twirled happily, her tails flowing elegantly in motion behind her as she danced. It was clear that she was having a blast, and yet she never stopped paying attention to Sally.

Sally kept it up for a little while longer. She kept eying Ahri with disbelief, wondering how the heck this was actually working the ways the woman had said it would. It was really...calming. Almost fun, if you tuned out the lights and noise.

Finally, they finished one song. She walked back to a stool, leaning casually against it. "All right. It's exercise. I'll give you that."

Ahri twirled towards her in amusement and laughed a little, "Isn't it~? It's wonderful~! Almost like training while having fun~ I love it so~" she almost sang as she hopped on one of the stools and spun around on it playfully.

That word caught her attention. Training, yes. She could get on-board with training.

"Is that how you evade in combat?"

Ahri grinned mischievously, "Well, I have to admit I'm fairly well known for having been one of the most elusive Champions on the Fields of Justice~" She mused playfully.

"Having a very flowing fighting style could help with this yes. I for one however am not much for close-quarters combat. I prefer to stick at range and not let them get close and making myself very hard to target if you do manage to get close."

Sally nodded, mind slipping straight back into battle-planning mode.

"So you have some type of ranged weapon? A gun?"

"Spells~" She said simply not liking to give too much away too fast!

"I'm a mage~ It's really convenient to be honest~" She mused with a small smile.

"Like a wizard," Sally supplied. She'd known one. It had been difficult to know what to make of him.

"Magic is dangerous, but it must have been useful to you."

"Anything can be deemed dangerous within the right circumstances you know? It's all about perception." Ahri nodded at her.

"And yes, it has come with it's great perks I have to admit~" She mused, knowing all too well that it also had it's flaws.

That raised her eyebrows. "How extensively do you use magic? Is it a tool, or is it like another limb?"

"I am magic~" she mused. Which was true, beings such as her where inherently magical. One of the many reasons they were usually sought out by hunters to catch and sell them as rare magical components.

To push the subject forward, she materialized her Soul Eater Orb, a large, and magical blue orb which she played with as simply as a one would with a ball. She let it dance over her with the sway of her body, it bounced over her tails and she kicked it up and let it spiral down her body before sending it off in a direction where no one would get hit and it came back on it's own accord as if tethered.

"I see." It bothered Sally a little, it was true, but it was a fascinating subject. So many possibilities.

"Can your dance be an enchantment?"

"Maybe~" she mused a bit vaguely with a small smile right before making the ball disappear.

"Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering. There's something...not natural about the way you dance."

Sally wondered if she could be offending. Would she be punished with magic? Hopefully not, but she prepared to run just in case.

"..." Okay, that comment made Ahri stop and look at her curiously.

"What do you mean? Not natural... Forgive me, but I think I am at a loss as to what you are trying to say so I'd really appreciate if you could elaborate?" She kept her tone friendly, although she did take a step back.

Being called out on her nature or how not normal she or whatever she was doing was sort of a sore spot for the vixen... One not many knew of and she'd rather it stayed that way.

Sally quickly shook her head, amending. "Not natural for my home, maybe. You're not a Mobian, of course it would look different. But it's...almost as if you're in combat. It's hard to explain."

She'd have to think about this for a while.

Ahri simply stared at her for a while before she covered her mouth and simply laughed.

"Don't worry, I understand. It's just... Nevermind it, something I had to deal with from home."

She offered her a friendly smiled and a wink.

"I'm glad you understand." Sally wiped her brow. Phew. No need to be getting into a fight here and now. "And thank you for the lesson. I suppose I'd better practice, right?"

She looked out at the dance floor again, wondering where this mission would take her next.

"Practice should always be something one should do when in a situation like this. Unlike in my world where I would be fighting every day, having so much downtime isn't always the best thing you know? Not that I'm complaining since it's given me more opportunities to do things I've always wanted to do."

Like dancing! And swimming! And running around reading more and more books!

"What else did you want to do here?" Sally asked, seeming to read the other girl's mind. What else was there to do, really? Reading the data and researching, some exercise, but then...what?

"Be free~" she replied almost kid-like. And left it at that, truly, how powerful a notion for a sentient being to desire freedom.

"Freedom," Sally nodded. "I wanted the same thing. I've wanted it for years. But it doesn't really feel free, does it? Back to square one, back in another war."

"Well, considering the war I used to be in, this is as close to freedom as anything I ever experienced~" Which wasn't true, back when she was simply a fox, well, no mere fox, a kitsune, but still, without her 'gift' or 'curse' to turn human, things had been the closest to freedom as ever...

But that was long ago.

"I can understand that," Sally agreed. It made sense now. "There's less to fear here than before."

In fact, she almost smiled. "Thank you, Ahri. You've given me so much to think about."

"I'm glad~ I'm happy to be of service Sally, if you ever need anything at all, just contact me. I'll be at your side as soon as I can~" She mused with a friendly smile.
