Agent 779 Code Name: Splicer ([personal profile] expendable_mind) wrote in [community profile] trans_92012-04-13 06:58 pm

All work and no play makes you a dull boy! [Open Post/Event]

Who: Splicer, and anyone ever! Yes that means YOU!
Where:  Hunter's Pad
Summary:  Party till you drop, release some stress, just have fun!
Warnings: Open party event, discretion is advised! Excessive partying

After the announcement over the network, Splicer set off to break out the snacks he had stored, the drinks and set the out on the club floor. He wanted people to have fun and enjoy some care free time. Morale had been fluctuating as of late and a good head kept the troops going in times of strain. What better way to pick up morale than a good fun time with friends and just kicking back and doing your thing?

That's why he was now occupying his booth and taking any requests for the people that came by, greeting and waving at fellow crew and friends. He intended to make this as fun as possible for each and everyone. Good times seemed to be scarce in the future to come, so he'd do his best to make this one of the good ones.

[[OOC: Open event post, feel free to post an open thread for your character, or post to someone who's already there! You can make requests at the DJ booth, and you can choose to interact with Splicer as well, just make sure you put it in the header. Other than that, just have fun!]]

Yup! But you always get those types. The ones that charge in head first without thinking. Sheesh!
17thangel: (Chaaaaarge!)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
That's really how I was trained to fight, but... I fly a heavy assault gear. When you're in a giant angry slab of armor that's a viable tactic I guess.
yourbelovedfuture: (Hm...)

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-14 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that makes more sense. Back in Midas, there were Assets made for those kinds of fights. I was more of a tactical and long range Asset.
17thangel: (Maria Sad)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, there are a ton of glass cannon gears, or ranged assault ones. The pilots either learn to move a lot, or they die.

Pretty much, or you can always take them out fast and then you don't have any risk of getting harmed!
17thangel: (Maria Goggles)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Oh 95% of my salvage was from people who didn't know what they were doing. Still never yielded a very satisfying fight.
yourbelovedfuture: (What's this?!(Curious))

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-14 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
So how were fights in your world like? Are they similar to the ones here? Have you had a chance to face the opposition in this war?
17thangel: (Maria/Seibzen)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
I was the gatekeeper of Shevat. Anyone that tried to get in had to come through me so... Most of the fights were a large group of people trying to get past me. Other parts of the war, well, I couldn't leave the city for long so I didn't really get to see much of them.

This war, no I haven't seen the opposition yet, but I'm anxious to flatten them.

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-14 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, neat! So you're more of a heavy defender type? Like a phalanx?

I just arrived but I'm eager to see what this whole thing is all about.
17thangel: (Maria Smile)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Something like that. Me and Seibzehn are high defense and damage... Just really not all that fast.
yourbelovedfuture: (What's this?!(Curious))

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-14 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh neat! Is your friend on this vessel too? Or are they still in the goop things in the cave?
17thangel: (Look Back)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-14 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Seibzehn is a giant robot in the hangar. I tend to spend the bulk of my time taking care of it.
yourbelovedfuture: (What's this?!(Curious))

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-14 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
A giant robot? Like in those movies and shows that sometimes showed on tv?!
17thangel: (sd)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-15 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
You know, I still haven't seen that TV thing all that much. Just a little here and there.
yourbelovedfuture: (Happy!windswept)

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-15 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Me neither! I only caught glimpses here and there when Kimimaro passed by some of the stores! But I heard that there's a place here where you can watch ALLLLL the tv ya want!

I've been meaning to check it out!
17thangel: (blank expression)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-15 12:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, there are a few places I think. I really just haven't had the time, that and it seems kind of passive.
yourbelovedfuture: (Bored)

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-15 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't passive good? I always thought people needed a bit of relax time or they'd go nuts wayyyyy quick.
17thangel: (nighttime)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-16 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
Where I come from there never was much time for relaxing. At most a few hours a week.

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-17 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh, odd. I thought most people had at least a little bit of leisure time.
17thangel: (Maria Goggles)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-18 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
At home? There was a war going on.

Maria lets out a breath and shrugs.

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-20 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you can learn how to relax more in this place! Even if there's a war going on.... Hmmmm...
17thangel: (Maria worried)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-20 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't it dangerous to relax in a war?

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-20 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw, it's worse to be on edge! That's when you're easily tricked since you're on such so jumpy. You can't let the enemy read you you know?! So being at ease makes it hard for the opponent to plan out what they can do since your reactions aren't as obvious as if you were jumping, or aiming at every suspicious event, noise or stuff!
17thangel: (sd)

[personal profile] 17thangel 2012-04-20 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno... Smashing things always seemed to work in the past. Its not the most delicate strategy, but giant robot trying to smash your guys is pretty much my specialty.

Maria scratches her head and shrugs a bit.

[personal profile] yourbelovedfuture 2012-04-20 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, if it's worked before then good! I guess the enemies of my world were much different... And these new enemies from this war, well I haven't seen yet! So I guess we have to wait and see!
