Mama Said Knock You Out [Open]

WHUMPF.

In one of the lost rooms, a costumed teenager is being flown across a grassy hill like a particularly colorful projectile. He lands hard on the ground, tumbling over and over into the mud, and then, with a grunt, gets back up.

"Goddamn tree's putting the ig on me." Punchy wipes dirt off his face and spits a piece of grass (and possibly a tooth) out. "Let's see how you like getting stomped topwise by a real OG."

The Whomping Willow spreads its two largest branches wide, as if to say 'come at me, bro'. Punchy rushes headfirst at it, trying to think of some witty or scathing put-down to throw at this uppity piece of lumber, and instead only coming up with 'take that!' - and getting tossed, once again across the room and into the earth.

If anyone walks in on him lying facedown in the mud, he's totally just playing dead and going to get the Willow off-guard. Really.

"No sweat, he's just some plant for the man or something." Punchy winds up a fist and runs towards the tree, leaning in close to the ground to avoid higher branches.

And Beastboy hits the ground belly first transforming into a snake to race through the grass towards the trunk. Hopefully he'll be harder to hit like this.

The tree lunges a branch out and smacks Punchy to the ground, but doesn't seem to notice the viper coming at it. What threat is a snake to a tree?

Enough of one it turns out, because as soon as Beastboy reaches the trunk he turns into a cat to scale it's side swiftly, and one more shift to turn into a gorilla and slam both his fists against it. Beastboy had to admit he was pretty pleased with this tactic.

The tree doesn't seem to know how to respond to this, as it's not used to being attacked from up close. Its vines whip around and try to catch Beastboy to fling him off.

Beastboy grunted in surprise when he felt his massive muscular gorilla body hefted from the ground. Instinct caused him to shift into an Eel slipping through the tendrils to splat at the trees roots. Not particularly helpful but at least he was harder to grasp and fling for the moment.

Defeated for the moment, Punchy sits aside and waits for Beastboy to recuperate. "We can take round three."

Beastboy shifted and into a cat to scale the tree only to be swatted away. Turtle form protected him from serious harm as he ricocheted and bounced around till he came spinning to a stop at Punchy's feet.

"You okay, homeboy?" Punchy flips Beastboy over, back onto his turtle stomach instead of on the back of his shell.

He shifted back with a sheepish grin. "Maybe we need a plan or something?" He offered sitting up a little dizzy but not too worse for wear.
