If You Need a Doctor, I'll Examine Every Inch of You [Phys Evals; Open]

Ever since the medical briefing on the comms, the medical bay staff has been preparing for an influx of appointments for physical evaluations, as well as a few walk-ins. After that, the hunt will be on for those who've been skipping such appointments.

A few of the staff members are going about their regular duties, expecting patients or simply biding time at the coffee machine until they're called on.

"Superman died." Howard shrugs. "But suit yourself."

He gestures to a scanner. "Yes, but it's not going to show anything that isn't bone damage. In case there's another melting clock fiasco I need to know any times you got skewered or anything too."

"Superman died because he does what Superman does: save people," Mindy said, not before Howard saw her making a very slight motion akin to the sign of the cross. While Mindy was not religious, she always had respect for a fallen hero, and that was the closet she could get in giving him recognition.

Damn. "Well, there was the time I sprained my ankle when those robots were around, the time recently I got my ass handed to me by the Ov-uh, certain person, the time I got shot in the shoulder but that happened three times so no point in going into that. OH, and there was that fucking crazy guy that was going after Sasami that time, he was pissed when I didn't tell him where she was and got me good..."

She could go on and on, Howard.

Howard rolls his eyes a little at Mindy's cross. As far as he concerned Superman was just being dumb. Not that Howard doesn't appreciate being saved, but he also doesn't see the point in revering heroes for ignoring Rule #1 (look out for yourself first).

"So, aside from the fact that your life is completely crazy, you're in perfectly good health?"

Mindy notices the eyeroll and grins. "Look, say what you want, its still fucking Superman. I never said he wasn't an idiot, but what did you expect? Guy was a boy scout."

She shrugged. "Pretty much. I don't have weak bones or anything stupid like that, obviously. I'm pretty healthy."

"Good for you." Howard gets the syringe out. "Okay, I'm going to draw blood and do some cultures on it. You'll probably hear back from us...whenever, Stacy time. Are you up to date on your vaccines?"

Mindy shrugged. Hey, as long as he didn't care, that was the perfect person to look her over.

"Probably not. I might have to get sticked up a bit more."

"Stacy should be able to run an analysis on your blood and give you anything you don't already have." He sets the syringe away. "Alright, lay back, I need to check out your stomach muscles and reflexes and then we're done."

"Right, got it," she said, and did as he asked. While her stomach didn't have anything close to the scars her back had, you could still see that she was pretty active, and there were still a few marks. You could also see that Mindy was pretty good at maintaining her sit ups: she had a perfect washboard stomach.

"Damn, girl, how many sit ups you do a day?" Howard feels around. "Tell me if any of this hurts. I'm just checking musculature and organ placement."

"Until it hurts?" Mindy said. Crap, she knew she could have kept count. "I mean, I do other stuff too, but sit ups and push ups is usually how I stay fit. And no, nothing hurts. Despite getting banged around, I think my organs are still where they need to be."

BUH. This was the part she found really gross. Really, who wanted to pee in a cup?

"Ok, give me a few," she said, sighing. "I always hate doing this."

"Righto, I'll be doodling dinosaurs on your eval form." He pulls a pen out and waits.

"Gotta find some way to pass the time," Mindy said, shrugging, then heading off to do that gross pee in the cup thing. It would take her a few minutes, but she would return with the sample, looking vexed.

"So how long until I know I got a clean bill of health?"

"Stacy time, so I'm not sure, but usually it's in a few hours to a few days."
