If You Need a Doctor, I'll Examine Every Inch of You [Phys Evals; Open]
Ever since the medical briefing on the comms, the medical bay staff has been preparing for an influx of appointments for physical evaluations, as well as a few walk-ins. After that, the hunt will be on for those who've been skipping such appointments.
A few of the staff members are going about their regular duties, expecting patients or simply biding time at the coffee machine until they're called on.
[OOC: please state the name of which med character(s) you want to administer the evaluation in the header to your comment. If you're fine with anyone tagging in, please indicate so. Available characters are Sakura, Howard, Dr. Faiza Hussain, Soren and Dr. Carson Beckett.]

"Thank you for coming. I'm Sakura, one of the medics doing evals today. Have you been seen yet?"

'Sakura'. That was one of the names Howard had mentioned, the names that might be okay.
He could do with this. He could deal with the weird alien health assessment ritual and not freak out.
He just had to keep repeating that to himself.

She gestured to a raised platform, barely noticeable as different from the rest of the floor.

Volanz hesitated for a moment, set his shield on the floor, and stepped onto the platform.

She had a weight on him not long after, jotting down the number along with a secondary one based on a series of lights that extended upward and paused once it had the measure of his height. "You can step down now," she said with a smile.
"Has it been kind of difficult, adjusting to seeing so many people all of the time? Here, if you could take a seat..." she indicated one of the medical tables, starched and ready for -- well, whatever it was ready for. His patooty.

"I thought that was pretty normal? It was just me and my lusus, really. A couple of my friends might've lived closer to each other, I guess?"
It was probably for the best. Young trolls were not exactly known for their ability to play well with others.
Volanz climbed onto the table and perched on the edge, his knees folded a little around it.
"It's been pretty weird I guess," he admitted. "Especially adults? But people have been pretty much decent to me so I guess there is not much for me to really complain about."

She smiled, trying to be comforting. "Are you comfortable with me having my hands close to your body? I want to do a system scan on you for comparison with the other members of your species we have on file, to check for consistencies against the medical database as well. If you'd rather not, I can keep things to the bare necessities."

He exhaled.
"Okay."
In the meantime, he supposed he could talk. That couldn't hurt, right?
"I would think it would be kinda hard to have lots of us living together?" he said. "Everyone would fight, probably. And everyone's lususes would end up fighting and pretty much trying to eat one another and it would just... go really really bad."
