Spring Cleaning, Round 2 [Backdated to just after podpop]

Who: The Doctors, their assistants and friends, some visitors [Open], and the Master.
Where: The TARDIS, the blue police box located in the Hangar.
Summary: Somebody's made a mess of the old ship. The Doctors are very unhappy. Time to dig in and clean up! Also, there's some necessary hashing-out of titles and ownership between three men who happen to be the same person. And a bit of a problem arises...
Warnings: Possibly mild swearing on Nine's part.

The Doctor and his immediate successor with the long coat had run straight from the Observation Deck when they'd learned where the TARDIS was and gotten their bearings. They'd been whisked through the uncomfortable transport tubes, spilled into an arsenal of ships, and been left to search. Luckily, as diminished as their abilities were, they could still sense the old girl. It wasn't long before she was found.

They wasted no time in opening the door, winding up in a console room that could never fit inside the seemingly small exterior of the police box without some serious dimensional shifting. It was a wide space, well-lit, but definitely not the room the two new arrivals were used to.

Here, they'd finally find this other Doctor the other crew members have told them so much about. And with any luck, they'll have some answers too.

There's a noise from Jamie that could be a snort of disbelief or of amusement - or possibly both - at that. It's not hard to figure out where the Doctor's going with that particular line of discussion.

"Then'll I'll thank ye not to be looking down when I do," he says dryly, making his way over to meet the Doctor. Even with that said, he's still careful as he does so, just in case. Soon enough, he falls into step just slightly behind the Time Lord, at least for now. He has a feeling that part of things will change sooner or later. Likely sooner, if there's beasties lurking about.

"Alright, then. After ye, Doctor."

"Oh, aye, of course." From the sound of those words, Jamie doesn't believe that it was Barbara who said that. It would make much more sense that the Doctor's trying to have him on over the whole thing.

Going after the dangerous beasties, though, well...that's a whole other story. That he can believe - even if the whole 'tear 'em limb from limb' is new. And while he's not at all certain he likes the sound of them not having any limbs, he's not going let on to the fact that's making him just a wee bit nervous. That part will come later - when he does his best limpet impression.

So while he licks his lips for a moment, there's not much of any other sign of that just yet. Except, perhaps, for the very slight stammer that pops up when he replies. "A-aye." Then he adds, managing to put some confidence in his voice, "I'll not let any beastie stand in our way."

Casting a sideways glance over at the Doctor, he nods and lets his hand fall to his waist, thumbing the snap that keeps his dirk secure open just in case. There's no comment about that changed walk, and it's hard to say if he's even noticed. He has, however. It's difficult not to, especially when something teases in the back of his head about that particular movement.

But try as he might to fix on it, the thought doesn't quite manage to fully come into being. Instead, Jamie settles into his usual method of creeping down the corridor after whatever beasties might be about, fully expecting them to appear at any moment. Minutes seem to stretch out into indeterminable lengths of time, the corridors of the TARDIS silent and empty. It almost seems as though there aren't going to be any, at least not in this section. Jamie straightens up, about to turn and suggest to the Doctor they try somewhere else when he picks up on something from a short way ahead of them, a popping noise not unlike the sound that a suction cup would make when pulled free from some surface. It's followed by another, and another, and Jamie freezes, head rapidly turning towards its source.

"What was that?"
