Stupid cloud! Stupid ship! Stupid laws of physics!

Three attempts in and this had not been going well.

Outside the transport tubes in the city hovered one pegasus pony, staring in irritation at said tubes. One hoof rested on what was unmistakably a cloud -- a puffy, friendly-looking white cloud, just the right size to make a comfy napping spot for a pegasus who, well, really liked napping.

"You stupid tube tentacle... things!" she said, expecting that the ship would somehow respond. "Let me take the cloud up to that Hydro-whatsit place!"

"So you don't have a home? I mean, a place to stay? Normally, that is..." Even wild animals had dens and stuff! That was kind of sad...

Ahri shrugged, "Not really, even if I did I suppose it would get raided once it was found out. Beings like me and other legendary creatures tend to be hunted due to the magical properties we have."

She smiled however, "So really, being a wanderer is best. A temporary home is really nice every now and then though."

"Your world is rough. Well, why not pick someplace on the ship to be yours. No one's gonna hunt you or raid it here, right?"

"It is, but it's home." she mused as she looked around for a moment in thought.

"You have a point~" she said as she tapped her chin thoughtfully. "You know, I might just do that... I need to consider the perfect spot though... If I'll be making it my permanent home for a while."

"It's a big ship, I'm sure someplace would work fine for you! What would you look for in a home?" She was kind of getting excited by proxy.

"Hmm," she swirled around playfully before looking around in thought.

"It would have to be an interesting location in on itself. I tend to let myself wander if I'm not comfortable. It would also need to be secure. As much as I'd like to believe that nothing would come to hunt or harm me on board this ship, there's a reason that the saying, 'better safe than sorry' is still widely used." she said with a light laugh.

She then looked towards the area she had seen a park earlier. "I'd like to be near water, if anything because I love bathing and playing in it. If that wasn't possible, maybe have the ability to have a water source, like a pool or a large bath."

"There's a river down here in the City. I've seen it when I was flying around!" She pointed in that general direction.

Ahri looked in that direction and made a mental note of it.

"That'll be useful then. I'd just have to make sure there's no one else living too close by it. Should be fun doing some more exploring."

"I don't know where other people live, but it's a long river. I'm sure you've got options!"

"Oh good, that means there's lots to explore! That's always a plus~" she giggled afterwards and turned to face the direction of the river, her tails waving side to side excitedly.

"It's a pretty big place. I don't think you're gonna have this whole City done in a day," she said, wry.

"I wouldn't want to~ I'd run out of things to explore and then I'd be bored out of my mind. Boredom can kill creatures such as I you know~" she mused.

"So as much as I could more than likely do so, I'd rather take my time and simply walk at a relaxed pace and enjoy everything there is around this 'City'."

"Even I can't cross it easy flying at top speed! You've got nothing to worry about!"

"I suppose that's a good thing then~" Ahri mused as she smiled back at her.

"I dunno. It kind of makes you wonder what else is out there, you know?" She looked over at the City with a thoughtful frown.

"No better way to find out than exploring it yourself!" Ahri mused with a big smile.

"Wish I could do it all by myself. Maybe I can talk them into an official exploring... thing," she mused. "Fast people gather up and find everything they can!"

"You'd think these people would have wanted to explore everything about a place where they are being kept..." She wanted to say as prisoners, but she didn't want to upset the pegasus.

"Being kept in wait until the next set of missions..."

"Well, most of them just aren't fast enough! This'd place'd take a long time for somepony to explore on hoof, and even then they couldn't get too far before they got hungry and thirsty. Not much in the way of food out there, or stuff to drink if you're not by the river."

"Make an exploration party," she mused as she turned to look back at the pegasus with a smile. "I mean, from the looks of it, a good amount of the crew sits idly about while doing much of nothing. Which in itself isn't bad considering a rested battalion is more capable than an exhausted one."

Ahri turned back to face the City, "But having a dedicated exploration team, with supplies and the means to do long term exploration would be perfect for this kind of thing."

"Yeah, but who else could go fast enough and far enough besides me?" she said skeptically. "I mean, the hedgehog TALKS big, but it's no good if no one can keep up!"

"Well, I said it that way so there wouldn't be a need to rush. So anyone could do it as long as they enjoyed exploring and such. And there would definitely be a need for someone who enjoy mapping the area and take notes."

At the mention of the hedgehog, she tilts her head curiously. "Hedgehog?" Maybe it was a creature like Rammus, though Rammus was just a really, really fast armadillo who got transformed into a sentient being from all the magic abuse in her world.

"Bo-ring!" she said dismissively. "Besides the food and water problem, we don't have time to take it easy! Who knows what could be out here that could make a difference!"

"Well considering that right now nothing is being done about the exploration, it would have been beneficial to have something instead of nothing~" she mused with a small smile as she did a playful twirl.

"Better to do it right or not at all," she countered. "You take a dozen people out of the loop for a while and who knows what'll happen by the time they come back?"
