Tavern repairs [Bendytimed to after System Shock and before the Council meeting]
It had taken some time, and a bit of help, but the tavern's repairs were almost done. A full day had been needed to clear the store room of its wreckage (which was still in a large pile outside), and another two to track down materials and construction tools. There were plenty of spare wooden planks and beams in the city in the form of unused buildings; that didn't mean it was all suitable for Kang's purposes or easy for him to take. He'd at least been lucky enough to find a few odd-looking power tools, from some version of Earth, with batteries, saving a bit of work.
The tables, bench and chair had been the first things to be fixed. The stage just needed the new boards hammered in. The store room needed a new door, support beam, and shelving, and stock from the other building moved into it, including some of the full, heavy barrels of ale. He hadn't bothered with putting the various pots back in their proper places yet, though he had at least moved them out of the way and off the floor. The entire building needed swept as well.
It felt good to do a bit of manual labor, and it showed in how quickly and easily the bozak had drawn up detailed blueprints, gotten to work, and made occasional rounds to check on progress and supervise that construction was something he was very experienced with.

Kerrigan's approach had been quiet at first until she realized that surprising the draconian was not something she wanted to do, not out of fear but concern. She hadn't interacted with Kang much but he had been patient with her at their first meeting, and forgiving when she had attacked him out of... instinct, she supposed. She wasn't entirely sure.

"Aside from a quick job or two during shore leave, not much. But I'm a fast learner if you need an extra pair of hands."

He wasn't sure if she was acting the way she was because of their first meeting, or if she might have lost someone in the pods. He hoped it wasn't because of the latter.

"I'd better start now." Once she started working Kerrigan reverted back to her normal self. She didn't say much and focused on her work.

He wasn't completely devoid of a sense of humor. He didn't indulge it very often and it was therefore strange and malnourished, but it existed. Sort of.

Kinda weird, being able to actually cut up here and have people joke back...

"Oof--Where do you need this, Kang?"

"See if you can just get the end in, yeah? Then I can get it upright."

"Besides, it's pretty lame that a bunch of robots trashed your place."

sorry for the lateness
"Still, I want to help out how I can."

Jamie's idea of taking a break from his Engineering workload was to wander around looking for things to do in other parts of the ship. Though he could probably count on one hand the number of times he'd actually been to the Drunken Dragon, there was clearly work to be done putting it back together, so he figured he might as well pitch in.

"The shelving still needs put in, and the door installed. Once that gets done, we can start bringing in stock from the other building. Veronica's working on the stage, if you want to help her, too."

He looked around as Kang gave him the rundown of work to be done, nodding as his gaze came to rest on the woman hammering away at the raised platform. "Sure, I can help over there after I give you a hand. Unless you've got stuff covered here and want me somewhere else."

"Just set up anywhere, man?" he called out, his head craning to locate where Kang was working.
