Sobek the Immortal: Bringing a God to His Knees [Closed]
Who: Daniel Jackson, Vala Mal Doran, Eva, The Master, Eleventh Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon
Where: Kalimba (planet side)
Summary: A small crew goes on an archaeological expedition to a jungle planet, where System Lord was imprisoned. Taking Daniel as his host, he captures the crew and tortures them, while rebuilding his fleet.
Warnings: Violence, torture, gore
((Part One and Part Two here))
As time drew on, there was no sign of Stacy, rescue parties or of a single landing pods. The typhoon season approached closer with each day, rain and wind spattering the leaves on some days, varying between intense heat and humidity on other days. The megafauna in the jungles had grown more active too. The earth rumbled under their feet as they starting their migration amidst hooting calls and croaks. Throughout the varying weather, one thing remained constant. The hive of activity around the three step pyramids never ceased, slaves either taking shifts or in the most fanatical cases, working themselves near to death or to death. It was like this all across Kalimba. The call had gone out with the instructions for the slaves: work was to begin on restoring the Crocodile God's fleets underneath each step pyramid all across the planet. They were his Chosen, his Children, and he would ensure they were rewarded for their faith.
The complex swarmed with slaves and guards moving weapons and parts. Sobek and his personal guards were also in and out more often as the fleet began to take shape, often traveling to other sites to check on progress. Stones fell away from each ship as far as the eye could see. More and more of each ha'tak was revealed, while lines of human bodies went inside to work on the interiors. If the number of step pyramids that towered through the jungle were any indication, his fleet would be massive.
((same as Part 2: run your own posts with each other, more private threads with Sobek are available at the start. Part 3 does not have to immediately include end-plot stuff. If you want more CR amongst each other or your character being messed with by Sobek, please do!))

Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
"Take a good look," he said anyway, long after Jamie would have been cued into his presence. "You'll be well-acquainted with it soon enough."
He was on a very short leash with Sobek at the moment, but there was no need to let Jamie know that. Still, though his tone was light and nonchalant, very much in control, one look at the Master would probably tell a different story. He was thinner than before-- not starving, but not particularly well-fed either. His face was pale and drawn, almost sickly. Withdrawal from the Anetrizine had not been kind to him, nor the enforced labor in the mines. He'd obviously not gotten a chance to replace his shirt, nor to wash properly in the slave quarters.
Still, he was doubtless healthier than the rest of them at the moment. At least he had his freedom, and the way he looked down his nose at Jamie clearly communicated that he was well aware of the upper hand he held, no matter how slight.
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
He couldn't quite ignore the signal he felt at the same time, that peculiar feeling that started in the small or his back or the pit of his stomach that was a warning of danger to come. A certain tension ran through his body, an awareness of the situation - hard to see in the dark room but there nonetheless.
When he finally did turn around, it was slowly and deliberately, in an attempt to not let any else of what he was feeling show through. While Jamie didn't look to be as painfully thin as some of the others - in part due to his build - he had lost a good deal of the lean muscle mass he had been gaining from his training, and he certainly looked shaggy and unkempt. A rough beard gave him more of the appearance of a hairy Highlander than he had ever had during his travels with the Doctor, but it hid some of the more obvious signs of someone who's been surviving on very little food.
What it didn't quite hide was his reaction to the Master's appearance. For someone who had turned traitor and was supposedly working with Sobek, he didn't look much like it. But that voice seemed to claim otherwise, and Jamie fought down a sudden urge to lunge at the Master and try and choke that nonchalance out of him. He knew full well he'd never make it before the guards shot him down. Instead, his mouth twisted in displeasure at that look, and his chin jutted upwards in a defiant way.
"Aye? And why would I be acquainted with it? I've told Sobek what he wanted to know already."
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
"Apparently your Lord thinks you've been holding out on him. Keeping secrets." He clucked his tongue in mocking disapproval. "You know we can't have that, Jamie."
He stopped near the chair then and snapped his fingers; instantly several of the guards approached Jamie, reaching out to restrain him and drag him to the chair. The Master grinned hideously, looking as though he were truly going to savor this.
"And that's where I come in."
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
They weren't gentle about placing him in it, roughly shoving him there and holding him while the guard he had punched strapped him into the restraints with perhaps just a hint of satisfaction underlying his motions. Once they were done, they stepped back again, leaving Jamie to struggle uselessly against the bonds.
The look he turned on the Master was an angry one, but still defiant. If the Master was going to torture him - something that seemed fairly likely, given what he had managed to make out of the room - he'd face it bravely, like a McCrimmon should.
"Aye, of course that's where ye do." he spat. "Did ye volunteer to do the dirty work to try and get Sobek on your side, then? I'd not be surprised if ye did, ye traitor."
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
"'Traitor' implies that I was once on your side," he corrected, watching Jamie struggle with avid and cruel interest. "You don't really believe that, do you?"
He didn't give Jamie much of a chance to answer before he gripped the top of his head, fingers tangling in the younger man's thick, overgrown mop of hair. The Master brought his face close to Jamie's with a penetrating stare.
"This should seem familiar." And then he tilted his head forward to meet Jamie's. They'd just see if the ape could withstand this sort of torture.
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
Instinctively, he tried to fight against the sudden intrusion as contact was made, his mind and body rebelling against this sort of thing happening yet again. The Master would find something there, but nothing more than any normal human could muster. A barrier paper thin and able to be ripped through as if it were truly made of the stuff, and child's play for anyone with sufficient capabilities to overcome. It didn't help that it wasn't the first time this sort of thing had happened, and although he'd had time to recover, it might have been just that much easier to punch through what defenses were there.
Jamie tried to focus enough to shut out the worst of it, keep his mind on the harmless surface thoughts that wouldn't provide any substantial information. He was a McCrimmon. He wouldn't break no matter what was done to him. It wouldn't be like that other time with the Darksoul. With the Do...ah, God, that hurt!
Despite himself, he cried out. Not a shriek of agony, but a sound that clearly indicated that he felt exactly what was going on. His body strained against the restraints in another futile effort to free itself, but he couldn't get free from the Master's grasp, leaving him free to take the next step to find out what he wanted to know.
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
Jamie cried out, and the Master sighed a little in relief. He loved these little moments of release-- and so did the drums. Every bit of pain the boy endured eased some of the pressure in his own head. It had been far too long...
Too long he'd been imprisoned, held back. Stifled. To be allowed to run rampant through this ape's mind, to be free! That was... well, groovy.
The Master smiled as the Doctor's fingers curled around Jamie's temples-- and then just as quickly frowned in confusion. The Doctor's fingers. The Doctor's rage, and joy. And vicious disdain. So, Jamie had been host to many intrusions, and not just by his hand. Just like Daniel.
The pieces began to pull together.
"Didn't realize he actually had it in him," the Master murmured, slightly out of breath. Slightly in awe.
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
"I'll share with you what I see, Jamie. After all, we're such good friends."
And then a torrent of sensation rushes in, sights and sounds and smells that Jamie couldn't put a words to even if he wanted. Generally it's a blur of agony, his mind unable to cope with the massive influx, but a few memories seem to stick. Mostly stuff dealing from a time when the Doctor was still a funny little man with unkempt hair who liked to wear oversized clothing along with his bowtie, but here and there are other things, like a sense that the TARDIS is alive somehow, which Jamie hadn't really picked up on during his previous travels. Mostly, though, it is pain, the Doctor/Darksoul enjoying it immensely until he determines that enough is enough and drops Jamie to the floor, the Scot barely conscious.
But the Darksoul is long gone, trapped by the exorcists back on Stacy and its malgin influence no longer steering the Doctor's course of action. Would any of it be immediately useful to Sobek?
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
The Master digs in unconsciously, reveling in this new information. Oh, he'll taunt the Doctor with this for ages, how easily his mind was breached. Easy as a human's. They'll have loads to talk about.
And then the image shifts slightly. The Doctor's hands are still on Jamie's head, but moving. And covered in paint. And Jamie's hands on the Doctor's...
It's a marriage ceremony, the Master realizes. He knows this because Jamie knows this.
He lashes out perhaps a bit more viciously than he has to, forcing Jamie's conscious mind to look at this, to explain.
Tell me.
Re: Jamie/Master/Sobek
Orongo. It was a mission, to retrieve an artifact that would help them find the Tapestry that now resided in one of the Sensoriums, so far away from where they were now. It was in the Sacred City, and unless you were a religious sort, the only way to gain access was, well, to be married.
Billy and Kaylee - his best friends on the ship, other than the Doctor - were there, discussing the situation. Victoria, at the time, was a memory, someone who had left years ago and Jamie thought would never return. Kaylee was who he liked then, although it was entirely one sided, and the memories of the feeling bubble up to the surface, a curl of jealousy working its way in as he knew she was going to pick Dean for the ceremony.
Then, realization. When they had been told to pick someone back on the ship to partner up with, someone they trusted, it had been so they could take place in the ceremony. Jamie had picked the Doctor. Despite the Darksoul having taken over and forced its way into his mind, despite the damage done, he had forgiven what had happened. It wasn't the Time Lord's fault, after all. The Darksoul was powerful, and had taken over others in the crew. And there was the fact Jamie had traveled with the Doctor for years - the merest fraction of time to the Master, who had known the Doctor for centuries. But to a boy who was barely twenty back then, with all the shortsightedness of a human when it came to time...well, it seemed like a substantial part of his life.
So as the Doctor joins them, right in the middle of his very stubborn denials that about not marry the Doctor, he abruptly relents, knowing the Doctor should be one of the ones to get in the city and have a chance to get the artifact.
There's a skip forward again, back to the Doctor's hands on his face, Jamie obligingly closing his eyelids so lines can be painted over them. And then another, smaller skip, to the ceremony. Very pretty, with swirling lights joining and a priest officiating, but it's all a sham, not really binding...or is it?
