System Shock - Fight the Power!
Gods could be too arrogant. Such was the case of SHODAN, who had turned the Pods into a nightmarish zone where she could freely amuse herself and torture those that had come here.
But arrogance breeds pride which breeds mistakes. Instead of killing everyone off, she had decided to do this more slowly – watch them suffer in a slow agony, and, therefore had not expected them to fight back.
It had been a lucky shot, really, one in a million, But one of the people present that day had accidentally shot a tiny, insignificant object. A tiny little drone, that, once it had been the source of the power damper, had fallen. The tables were turned, and the goddess had been forced to retreat from the pods.
Now she was on a panicked mode, not only because some of the other people on the ship had managed to work their way into her system files, using another AI to send pointless images and sounds to her, distracting her from her task, but they knew how they could defeat her and gain their powers back.
It didn't take long for the message to be sent out, as the word quickly spread. Find the tiny little creatures, and shoot them down. SHODAN couldn't work their shields properly and once they were found, it was only a short matter of time before the powers returned to an area.
It would take time, but, finally, the tide of the battle was turning on the side of the crewmen and women. In vain, she was throwing her all; even more strange robot creatures, attacking in packs, but with hope on their side, they could win this...
[OOC - OKay go for it! NPC players, feel free to NPC as many robots as you like. Players, once your powers return, feel free to make as much scrap metal as you like, no need to have people NPC for you if you just want to write tags of them kicking ass.]

Rangers together! [closed]
Rangers, meet me in the hangar, Billy had requested over his comm ring. Unsettlingly, the connection to Andy seemed completely dead. If we disable the dampers, we can morph and use our Zords. Get here if you can!
He stood just outside the entrance, defending his position against the swarms of robots inside. They had to move soon.
Re: Rangers together! [closed]
However, he was still pretty much okay. His mad running-away skills had managed to keep him away from the robot hordes, and got him to the hangar in one piece. Albeit a piece that was heavily gasping for air, but still one piece.

Robots swarmed the area, making it difficult to get through, but he thought he caught a glimpse of Billy near the entrance. And while his fellow Ranger may not be able to see him in return, there's a a good chance he might still be able to hear him, as he let out his battle cry and leapt onto the back of the nearest battle droid, covering its sensors with his hands.
"Creag An Tuire!"
The droid, blinded, tried to shake Jamie off but only managed to knock over some of its fellow droids, and the Scot let go, dropping to the ground and rolling out of the way to avoid the bursts of blaster fire that were randomly shooting through his end of the corridor. They soon stopped, however, leaving behind a lovely tangled mess of destroyed or useless droids and clearing the corridor so people could get through.
Springing to his feet, he sprinted down the corridor, bringing his own blaster into play to take out some of the other robots that were trying to prevent him from getting through. A lucky shot gave him enough time to make the last push, and he slid into the space next to Billy and Ron, shooting him a quick grin as he did so.
"Aye, I think I can manage that much. Where are the others?"

She was trying to look good at fighting, but Lash was missing something from it all. Her attacks seemed a bit slower and her balance, completely ridiculous before, was now a series of much more careful steps. Without access to her CO powers here, she couldn't stand on a wall like she normally would. Hopefully, however, this would happen soon.
Still, robots were falling when she shot at them. She couldn't help but grin at that.
"So we're just missing two more, huh?"
no subject
She glanced at the others. They just needed to hold on until they were all here. No problem, right?

But still no Andy. He wondered...
"I haven't been able to get Andy at all! His comm ring signal's dead, as if it's deactivated," he grunted, dropping low to avoid a sudden gunshot. He squatted there, trying to get at a robot's knees. "Is he gone?"
no subject
"Dunno, but SHODAN hasn't started cackling about him, so I'm gonna guess either GlaDOS grabbed him or he got repodded."
no subject
Neither of which are really comforting, but would mean he's still around and just not able to hear them. Whatever's happened to Andy, though, is something they'll have to worry about a little later, as the sound of reinforcements can be heard down the corridor leading to the hangar.
"Look, we've not got time to try and figure it out right now. We need to make a break for the Zords and try and find those power dampening things before we get overwhelmed."

SINCE WHEN HAD SHE STARTED THINKING RON'S IDEA WERE GOOD?
Whatever, she decided to move her anger towards the robots, and continued to shot.
"The biggest problem is climbing them. We can't use our lassos right now, and I definitely can't climb normally without my CO powers."
no subject
"Do we have bits of metal? We can spike our hands and shoes and claw our way up. A grappling hook would be ideal, but I haven't seen rope."
He swung around a bend and shot, picking off one that had been quickly approaching them. Problem: there were more.

"Follow my lead," she then called before firing a series of arrows upward on one of the robots. Spacing them enough to be a ladder, as long as you moved quickly enough, and didn't linger on the steps. She then jumped to start hoisting herself upward on one of the robots' shoulders.

While Kate has a good idea, he doesn't even know if he'll be able to get his Zord to work. The others might, but Jamie's lack of familiarity with technology could be a problem without the aid of the power armor. And, as he too spots Punchy, he frowns. Even with the extra weapons they have, he doesn't like the idea of leaving the man out where the robots can get at him.
"One of us should stay down here and provide covering fire," he calls. "I can do it."
no subject
And then he took off running towards the robots, screaming his head off.
Power Rangers, meet Ron Stoppable: Human Distraction.
and late tag fail award goes to...
"Cover each other's backs. Let's try to get Punchy," he plans quickly, charging and rolling behind a stray vehicle. He manages a few shots and knocks one down, then another. Progress.
