Kaya, however, was definitely able to be angry. "You're the only how cares about titles! If you want me to stop worrying, you can start by actually answering my question instead of avoiding it! You couldn't be more obvious about not knowing why you're abandoned out here!"

"I EARNED that title!" Now Zetta was mad. "I didn't get it as a prize in the bottom of my Honey Bunches of Leprechaun Charms! If you don't respect the title at least respect the power behind it!"

Of course, he was STILL dodging the question. "And how the hell am I abandoned?! I'm not some lost kitten or young child! I may be a book, but that doesn't mean I can't take care of myself. I've been doing it this long, haven't I?!"

"I'm aware of that!" Kaya said, who was starting to get angry herself. "But Overlord or not, right now you;re a book, and whether you want to admit it or not, there are going to be times you will be vulnerable. You might not like it, but its true! And I never disrespected anyone on this ship who has a title on their world! There's only one person I have, which, if you recall, is the very person you were in favor of walking around the ship!"

She seethed. "Call it what you want, you still haven;t answered my question! You have some nerve saying I'm treating you like a child when you deliberately avoid what I'm asking you!"

"How the hell should I know?!" Zetta snapped. "One minute I'm heading out of the mess hall, then next I'm getting watergunned! That's as far as I know about anything!"

"Well that's something to worry about, isn't it? What if you were doing something really important and you black out? It's a genuine cause of concern!"

She sighed. "Look, I don't want to baby you, and goodness knows you're the bad ass freaking Overlord. But that doesn't mean you should ignore something like this. Even bein the ruler of the cosmos doesn't mean you're invulnerable, ok?"

"Uh. I pretty much AM invulnerable. My defense stat is off the chart." Zetta was not willfully missing the point, now; he could just be that stupid.

Kaya sighed. This was really getting them nowhere, wasn't it?

"Look, just try and find out why you wound up in place you weren't, ok? It make me feel better to know, I dunno, you were sleep...um, book walking? Do you sleep? Is that what happens when you just become a book?"

That was probably it, right?

"Yeah, I still sleep," Zetta said, grateful that he seemed to have found an explanation to placate her. "Probably I got so bored with this crap they call food here that I fell asleep and my stupid minion wandered off. You know they do THAT sometimes."

Zetta's minions didn't have minds of their own so much as they had, well, his mind.

That was the worse excuse ever, but she could already see it plain that Zetta had felt insulted about her implying he even had a weakness, so she knew she might as well drop it.Hopefully, whatever had happened was just a temporary thing and wouldn't happen again.

She didn't like the idea of someone using Zetta for their own purposes, even if eh was still bad ass freaking overlord.

"I'll take your word for it," she said dryly. "So anything else exciting happening in the life of a council person?"

"Hmph. We're apparently being accused of keeping a secret dragon in the City," Zetta said, rolling his eyes. "Like we would keep one secret when we already have one flying around openly!"

Kaya scoffed. "Oh that stupid thing with the dragon! Why people were even having a problem with the dragon was beyond me: why would the dragon attack us? He's a member of the crew! Though who's this other dragon you're talking about?"

"The grey and red one. She helped me defuse a bomb not long after I got on the ship. I haven't run into her again, though." Then again, the book had been running in entirely difference circles.

"She might be one of Kang's friends, you never know," Kaya said. "I can't believe the hysteria, but I'm a little worried. The dragon sighing happened a little too soon after people found out abut the kids that could transform into animals. I just hope this doesn't eventually boil down to flagrant disregard of the rules."

"Hmph. I don't get why THAT bothers people, but most people don't mind the whole 'demon Overlord, strongest in the cosmos' thing. Doesn't make any damn sense to me." Zetta sighed. Being Counselor was really not worth the hassle, but it kept the ship from banding against him.

"It'a combination of things, I guess. You're a book, you're not exactly planning to overthrow the ship, and well, no one is afraid you're going to fly over and eat them. Like I said, a combination of things."

And though she kept it to herself, if anyone dared to attack Zetta, she'd make sure that they forgot about it.

"They OUGHT to be!" Zetta snarled. "I'm the Overlord! There's no one better than me! If I wanted to, I'd have this whole ship grovelling at my feet -- uh, if I had feet -- in a matter of minutes!"

Yeah yeah, posture, Zetta. Does anyone believe it any more?

"but you don;t have feet, and even if you did, then everyone would be fighting YOU instead of the Ohm," Kaya said patiently. "You yourself have said that its exactly why you don't fight the people on the ship. It would be making a bad problem already worse."

She also thought that the Overlord was posturing, but she wasn't going to dare to mention it to him.

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I couldn't change my mind! Just to show you all my powers and badassery and stuff!"

Clearly he believed all this, or thought he did. No matter how utterly different his actions thus far had been.

"But there wouldn't really be a point in doing that if you weren't in an underworld, or at least had actual competition, right?" Kaya pointed out. "Besides, its counteractive. People are usually selfish anyway, so the people who really know how powerful you are are the ones that respect you."

Kaya hoped she made clear she was one of those people. Respecting him didn't mean she wouldn't worry though.

"NETHERWORLD!" Zetta bellowed. "The underworld is one very specific Netherworld, and it already HAS an Overlord, Seedle. Not that I couldn't kick his ass, but he's actually in the big leagues."

As usual, Zetta was missing Kaya's point entirely because of one specific comment.

"Netherworld then," Kaya said, rolling her eyes. "You are missing the point, Zetta. Look at how you were before. What if one of your opponents were to see you like that, hmm? What do you think would happen?"

Really, why was he just focusing on the one thing she said anyway? Why didn't he worry?

Zetta just smirked. "I've already dealt with Alex. And Pram the Oracle is still here and already sees me like this. And she's too weak to do anything about it either. I may not have limbs, but that doesn't make me any less of an Overlord!"

You kind of had to admire someone so confident and smug that losing his body didn't even slow him down.

Kaya shook her head, sighing. She guessed this was probably the way he just dealt with not having a body: being as arrogant and foreboding as ever. She guessed if that was how he dealt with matters, who was she to try and knock it right now?

"If you're that confident, I guess its silly to worry about you. But really, try and find out why you ended up here. I don't want to find out someone is messing with you, even if they can;t actually hurt you."

"Hmph. People try to mess with me all the time." Hell, didn't his close circle on the ship take pride in messing with him? If he was forced to admit it, which he never would be, he actually liked people not treating him with respect and fear.

"I don;t mean joking with you or anything like that, its expected with your circle of friends." Yes, Kaya has a high suspicion that you actually have them, Overlord, despite your usual protesting that you didn't need them. "I mean people actively wanting to do something to you. Whether they exist or not, its still a concern."
