Doing the Dirty Work [Open!]

How did Applejack stand working so hard around the farm? Her secret was simple: combining work and play. She'd brought the same styl to Hydroponics, where she'd sectioned off a small patch of the ground to be a place for some of the animals to play. The grass was dug up and seeds were planted elsewhere, water was poured, and Applejack herself was pounding her legs into the dirt. Making mud! Her bright orange coat was now coated in brown, and the longer she worked, the further she sank.

But this wasn't very fun. Back home, she'd done---yeah, that was what was missing! She hopped out of her little mud pit, tracked dirt across the grass, and set off at a fast trot. "Yee-haw!"

If anypony happened to be hanging about, they'd be splattered when the large pony came crashing down, rolling in her little pit of dirt. Her hat sat some distance to the side, miraculously untouched by the splattering of mud. Surely most would know to stay away from such a display.

"Yup!" Wasn't it a beautiful mud pit? "Thought I'd give our critters someplace to play. The pigs back home loved it."

She wasn't quite sure if the other creatures here would like it, but she was willing to try! And in her heart of hearts she enjoyed playing in the mud too.

"well if you insist!" He laughed out loud and sprang into the air turning into a pig and making some kind of swan dive into the mud pit with a beautiful SPLAT!

"Nice one!" Applejack called appreciatively, sliding in the mud and whipping it up. She leapt over him, sliding this way and that and ending up in a tangle of legs in the mud. But that was part of the fun.

Beastboy flopped and rolled about in the mud savoring the feeling of cool thick mud on his skin as only a pig can. There were just some experiences that were really experienced best by an animal.

Though Beastboy had no idea that this was actually productive, he thought they were just having a good time.

Just as planned! Applejack planned her chores very carefully. If she was doing it right, it wouldn't be all that different from playing.

"I've never seen a happier pig! You sure like it, huh? I just hope everypony agrees."

Oh, if only she had a way to capture the moment.
