Wired [Open]

Harry Potter was, inexplicably, unbelievably (given the circumstances) bored.

Then again, maybe it wasn't so much boredom as the fact that he was used to running and fighting and running and mulling over puzzles and running and fighting and so on and so forth, that being stationary for so long was difficult to get used to. Knowing even more was to come had him keyed up with a sort of nervous energy that was difficult to disperse.

He tried fighting holograms with his magic in the Sensoriums, but that didn't help him in the least bit, because he only got more ramped up instead of letting the coiled up spring in his chest release. (Hands down, the feeling was far worse than previous chest-feelings he'd had in the past). He wandered the hallways aimlessly but that only made him feel more restless. He poked his nose in places he was fairly certain he wasn't supposed to go, like the Bridge and the Special Weapons lab, but that didn't help, either. He stared out the Obs Deck window, he canvassed the Art Hall, and he even took a hike through the city, but the feeling wouldn't go away.

In the end, he wound up in Hydroponics, laying down in the grass, the fake sun on his face. Pulling the legs of his plantsuit apart slightly got his feet free and let him wiggle his toes in the grass.

This is relaxing, isn't it? You can still do relaxing, can't you?

He couldn't, though. He just couldn't. In fact, he was fairly certain that even if Ron and Hermione had been there, and they'd been lounging around by the fire of the Gryffindor Common Room, he still would have had trouble.

Why couldn't he seem to let his guard down for even a moment?

[ooc: You can have your character find Harry in just about any area of the ship! Just specify where your character ran into him. Also, please note, I will be tagging this VERY slowly until probably Friday or Saturday, due to school.]

Hydroponics, dated after the Aerith thread

There was a weird amount of rustling from a tree above Harry. Then a slight creaking noise, followed by a voice shouting "SLAG IT!" Before the words were even done, a young man, about Harry's age, if not a little older, came crashing down from the tree. He landed on his back with a pained sound, then struggled to catch his breath.

Slowly, the struggled breathing turned into a laugh. He reached up and covered his eyes with one hand. "What the hell am I doing?" He asked outloud, to no one in particular.

A good thing Harry was worried about not having to explain things to security, since Terry himself was a part of the security team now.

Terry had to take a moment to think of an answer - partially because he was checking to make sure he hadn't broken anything, and partially because he knew any answer he gave was bound to sound kind of dumb.

"Ya ever had an idea that you know is not really a good one, but you still think it would be fun to try? I had one of those. There was this girl and we were talking about trees, and I realized I've never climbed one. So I've been trying it."

"Nope," Terry said matter-of-factly, but then he paused. "That's kind of weird, isn't it? I can scale up the side of a building in seconds, but I haven't been around enough trees not to fall out of one."

In the Spacewalk

Ian discovered, by accident, the spacewalk. He thought the view from the Obs Deck was amazing, but this was something else. It was like being in space, albeit with the gravity turned on. "This is the best part of the ship," he announced, right before he spotted the dead body outside. Then his smile turned to a frown.

At the sound of someone behind him, he turned. He stepped back a pace, shielding the boy from the body he'd seen. He smiled, but it didn't look genuine because he'd spotted another dead body opposite.

Ian was surprised to find the boy wasn't affected by seeing the dead body. He supposed people on this ship had seen some awful things. "No, it doesn't," he agreed. "But it does remind you just how dangerous space is."

Around the hallways, if ya don't mind

He had been thinking about a lot of things, which was not surprising considering everything that had happened so far. He was not used to knowing the fact that his world has totally disappeared and that all that's left of them is just these few people he knows and even then he never really knew them that well.

Considering how hard he is thinking about things right now, it would not be really surprising if he didn't notice the youth before him.

At least, until its too late.

Because the second after that "Er-", the young man opposite of Harry glared at him and let out a seething, "Watch where you're going, idiot!" straight from his mouth.

His mood is bad enough as it is today, and he doesn't need any more bumbling idiots running into him.

"What, are you deaf in addition to being mentally retarded as well?"

Yeah, he is not in a really good mood right now, which resulted in this exchange actually occurring.

A tremendous figure is also standing on the Observation deck, staring off into the Void. He doesn't appear to notice Harry at first, but... he is almost a statue. A vision in black and white plate, war given form in a very real, and direct way.

His eye-slits glower out into the stars, burning crimson.

The Space Marine shifts, as he edges back, "You fear me, human?" He rumbles, sounding almost annoyed.

"...Man, you're all kinds of twitchy, arent'ya?" Ron said, after watching Harry for a few seconds. He'd been in the area looking for herbs he could possibly use to cook, and had spotted the other teenager.

Art Hall

[identity profile] hatngartersnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
At least one of the statues in the Art Hall might be mistaken for magical. It shifted between rather fantastical images of human and not-quite-human (and in some cases, definitely not human) people, lapsing briefly into inky black formlessness between each one. Harry didn't get to watch it very long before there was the sound of throat-clearing in the darkness.

"I realize that the statue puts them out there for everyone to see," said a husky female voice from the same direction as the throat-clearing. "But would you mind terribly not gawking at my memories?"

Sensoriums

By now, Chell was more-or-less accustomed to the Sensoriums being occupied when she most wanted to use them. That was okay, though, because it afforded her the opportunity to learn more about fellow crewmates, solely based on what they imagined up.

Today was target practice, apparently. Target practice with a stick. It was curious enough to hold her attention, and she quietly padded inside, taking a seat next to the door to watch the action.

Hydroponics

The atmosphere in the ship was hard to adapt to for some reason, and frankly that was pissing him off. This Hydroponics place was one of the few places where it wasn't completely suffocating, and so it was a relief to finally get there.

When Ankh showed up he was a bit jittery from being in the ship proper, although it was obvious he was trying to hide it. Which means when he saw someone else lying out in the grass, he was a little annoyed.

"Hey; what are you doing here?" He called out to him, taking a few more steps closer.
