There's always work to be done!
At least in Hit girl's mind, that was the way things rolled.
And for Mindy, if you wanted to take the two separately, that idea carried over. Sure, there was plenty of training to do, and god knows she had several sparring partners by now, but maintaining her civilian identity was just as important. As it so happened though, there was just as much stuff for Mindy to do as Hit Girl. Specifically, this house took a LOT of care and cleaning, something that Ruffnut was more than happy to let Mindy spearhead. So inside work had involved mopping, sweeping, dusting, window washing and all the while contending with the ghosts. With Ruffnut doing whatever she was doing at this time, Mindy was more than happy to carry on conversations with the house ghouls and was now, in fact, quite used to them being there. Sure, they were a bit cold with her right now because Hana was a fall out with Ruffnut (for some fucking reason or another) but there was no pranking at her, and likewise she was respectful of them.
They were ghosts, for Christsake. Did you really want to piss them off?
Right now Mindy was hard at work, painting the front of the building after making sure she had piled up some leftover debris from the latest piece of shit falling apart, and was wiping her forehead a moment. She was dressed in a plain short sleeve shirt and work pants, her hair in a ponytail, looking a little tired.
God, she wasn't even done with most of her work today.

"You know what you did..."
His fist were shaking again, like a pot of water rapidly boiling over.
"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!"
He clapped his hands to his ears, pressing them against his head, squeezing until it hurt. Eyes snapped shut, salty water gathered at the corners, forming tears of anger, pain, frustration and sorrow. "I don't want to hear your fucking lies anymore!"

Mindy had reached her limit. She tried to hear him out, she even swalloewd being pushed and yelled at, which not even Ruffnut had ever done. But to have him still yelling at him was the last straw. She had met him once, and he was Ruffnut's friend, so she had TRIED to hear him out. But no one had actually gone this much out of her way to piss her off, especially when she had no idea what he was even mad about.
"You're supposed to be my age, but you're acting like a two year old. What the hell happened to the guy that had fun with Ruffnut and was so cool? You're acting like a little bitch. But you know what? Keep your goddamn secrets. I have housework to do. Come talk to me when you grow a pair."

Her words stung, but it gave him more reason to be mad. It added fuel to the fire. He hated to admit it, but having Ruffnut and Mindy mad at him still made him feel sad, and being mad at them made him feel guilty, so he was glad for some extra anger to cover up those feelings.
"Good! Just leave me alone!"
As Hana turned to run away, the pieces of broken furniture Mindy had dragged out all began to wobble and shake.
Suddenly, one of the piles of debris fell over, scattering itself at her feet, the larger pieces just missing her. The air buzzed like there was a mass of unseen angry bees. Mindys lilac Holy Spirit eased into a visible plane, sighing and looking at her sadly before fading out.
The houses other worldly inhabitants were not happy.

She shrieked when that large piece almost hit her, and swore when looking upward.
"THIS IS NOT MY FAULT YOU JERKS!"
