Danny was, quite frankly, irritated beyond all belief. A little bit after his clone/cousin/sister Dani had been repodded, he too had been dumped back into podsleep for who knew how long. And really, it had been horrifying enough the first time. He hadn't really wanted to repeat the experience. But of course Stacy, GlaDOS, or maybe just his avia had other plans.
He stalked his way back up to Weapons and Possesions, and, diving straight into the piles of junk, started looking for his stuff.
"Nope, nope, nope, come on, where is that dang Fenton Thermos?" Danny muttered, elbow deep in a box

"Lady, when I get out of here, and I will get out, I'm shoving my fist straight down your fucking throat. You do NOT mess with my friends."

The sound came from his left where a young woman hovered at the side of the room, hands folded behind her back in a precise manner that could only have been trained into her. She was dressed in plain grey clothes that hung off her too-thin frame, her red hair chopped to a manageable length without much care for symmetry.
She looked at him with eyes empty of any hope.
"...don't fight him. You'll waste your strength. You're going to need it."

"Fine. You win. I'm no match for the great Brainiac Dynasty. Do what you want."

Brainiac fired up a rather gnarly looking probe and looked at it impassively.
"I am a scientist."

Her words were hollow, spoken on reflex.
"What do you require, sir?"

"And you're right Brainy. I haven't given up. I won't give up. I can't give up, not anymore at least. And when you're done here, you'd better tell mommy dearest to watch her back."
Danny's glare continued as Brainiac 5 walked forward with the probe.

But a little pain on Danny's part was worth it to satisfy Brainy's curiosity about his physiology, wasn't it?
It was time to get to work.
