[bendytimed before Visitation Plot] [what the hell, it's open]

The Southern Air Temple was pretty beautiful, architecturally speaking. With twisting spires and trees threaded into the framework of the temple itself, it looked half as if it'd grown out of the ground or been carved into it rather than that it had been built there.

The best part about it, though, was the sense of peace the place had. It was very easily the kind of thing that could draw people in and help them find calm, even if they weren't the religious type.

"[It seems like a pleasant place to have grown up,]" Jonas said, passing through the balcony's railing before landing and returning to his normal density. He might as well, since the two of them were talking. "[I stayed in a temple or two before I was ripped from my reality, but none of them were quite like this.]"

"[My name is Jonas,]" Jonas replied, returning the bow. "[I am the head of Programming. It is a pleasure to properly make your acquaintance.]" He did know who Aang was -- or at least what he was. It was a little hard to miss someone who could defeat the Nightmare King, after all.

"[I do have more affinity for that sort of thing than the average person,]" Jonas said dryly. He watched Aang closely as he did, though. Trying to gauge Aang's reaction to a synthetic person. Most people in the time Jonas was from did not think of him as being an actual person, what would someone raised in a world with no computers think?

"[I suppose it is no more difficult than heading the other departments must be.]"

That was not something Jonas had been expecting. His eyebrows shot up his forehead briefly, before he regained control of his face.

"[I am a synthetic person,]" he explained, tapping his hand against the railing by way of example. It made a ringing metallic noise instead of the thump of flesh and bone. "[While the human mind is much like a computer, mine is built from a computer.]"

...Well then.

"[I cannot speak for all synthetic people, of course,]" Jonas said slowly. "[But the major difference I have noticed between myself and people of flesh and blood is primarily a difference in strengths and weaknesses.]"

Most people, for example, do not have to worry about being 'hacked' by anyone but psychics and axe-murderers.

"[I do have abilities that others do not, but the same could be said for many mutants.]"
