Moving on up! ... In. Whatever! - [OPEN]

The city air felt so clean and fresh today!

Or rather, it seemed that way in comparison to the Sleeping Halls and those small, throbbing and sometimes when Jr. focused too hard on it, muggy-feeling rooms. The small red-head made his way through the city, few articles of spare clothes draped over one forearm, a set of guns balanced on top of them and held against his chest. He had his other, more commonly used set of firearms holstered at his sides as usual, but that sure was four guns on his person in that moment. With a pair of sunglasses on his head, Jr. looked ready for something exciting, something thrilling. And that something was moving. He'd been surprised at the sudden invite from Zouichi, but easily snatched up the offer - learning the inn he'd be staying in was an old styled Japanese inn was like the icing on the cake, though. Happy at the idea to flop down and fall asleep in something that actually felt like a room, he sped up his walk some, passing by the other buildings and structures as he moved.

[ feel free to be passing by in the city or assuming he's passing by any of the buildings! anyone's free to tag in ]

The garden was... well, if Jr. liked the rest of the inn, he'd probably liked this. It was a Japanese garden, complete with stone lanterns, the occasional tree and small shrubs, and even a little walkway and pond with mirror-black water, covered with lilypads.

"If we ever stop anywhere convenient," said Zouichi, "I think I'll try and find some fish to put in. They're really cute, you know."

...yes, he thought fish were cute okay.

"Right?" Zouichi smiled. "Of course, I guess they probably won't be like the fish back home on Earth, but it would still be nice to come out and feed them. Did you know they'll follow you around the edges of the water if they recognize you?"

Zouichi blinked. "Oh, no. I was just talking about normal fish... have you kept any before? They can recognize the person that feeds them. If you keep them in a tank, for instance, they'll crowd at the front of the glass when you walk by, hoping you'll give them an extra snack. What I meant was I'm not sure the alien planets we'll visit will have any Earth species."

He nodded. "Then again, I don't think Alan is strictly a standard Earth parrot, either, but he does strongly resemble one. I didn't know you had a dog, though. Is he here on the ship, too, somewhere?"

"Well..." Zouichi thought for a moment. "The ship does keep dragons and ponies. So perhaps he's in there somewhere, too, sleeping. I'd like to meet him if I get a chance. What kind of dog is he?"

Alby was such a cute name oh man.

P.S. Jr. your issues are showing

Oh, normal as in 'can't talk'. Of course! Zouichi kind of took talking grizzly bears in stride.

"Ah, because people could only take so many with them? I'm glad that they could bring as many as they did, though. Do most people have synthetic dogs?"

There were still plenty of real housepets where he was from; animals weren't affected by N5SV.

"Hmm... I have to admit, I'm fondest of Earth animals myself. I guess I'm more familiar with them."

Not that animals from other planets couldn't be cute. "Some of them look an awful lot like aliens, though."

"More different than the species in Hydroponics? What exactly are the Gnosis, anyway? An alien life form?" Interesting that Jr.'s world apparently didn't contain any other forms of sentient life, though. He'd been surprised to learn that some people came from worlds where there were countless different sentient species.

Why were humans alone in his?

Zouichi frowned. "So they live on another plane of existence? There's nothing like that where I come from." Even N5SV was a very solid (though microscopic) threat.

Okay, now Zouichi just looked confused. "Imaginary space...?" He was hoping Jr. meant some sort of space whose properties had to be described using unorthodox means and not... amazing magical space that was sort of there and sort of wasn't and maybe there were unicorns.

"I guess there's still a lot of the galaxy left for us to see."

Okay, that sort of made sense wait, no it didn't

He nodded. "Anyway, want to go see the hot springs?"
