A Housewarming Party for a Castle
Celestia's new home was a grand residence indeed: the citadel of Camelot, a place which featured heavily in the myths and legends of Earth. Not that Celestia was familiar with these myths, of course.
Guests were free to wonder around the castle at will, but Celestia had decided that today, the courtyard would be a lovely place for everypony to get together. There were a few tables set up, with the treats Hoshi and Applejack had so generously made, and Rarity's beautiful decorations. And later, Celestia planned to invite her guests to ride on the Ferris wheel that happened to be located just outside the castle.
The crewmembers had suffered a great loss recently, but she hoped that this would bring them some small amount of joy, and the comfort of friendship in this time.
[[ooc: Sorry this is a day late guys, uni ended up being much more hectic yesterday than I expected. Anyways, I've put up a subthread for Celestia greeting visitors and rides on the London Eye. Those that ICly helped out this party can also set up sub-threads for the food tables/games/whatever as well, if you guys want to. (Edit: The sub-thread for Hoshi & Applejack's nibbles is up here!)
But other than that, feel free to start your own threads and tag each other. People can also wonder around and explore the castle - it's the BBC Merlin version of Camelot, but only the citadel itself (as opposed to the whole city).]]

She had met few others that truly understood the joy and burden of ruling - she had always meant to rule alongside Luna, with the two of them anchoring and supporting each other - but she could see in Saber a kindred spirit.
"Then we are of one goal. The creatures that destroyed our worlds may be powerful, but there few things more powerful than friendship. United, we are all capable of amazing things," Celestia said, smiling. "And until the day that we succeed, I will protect those of my subjects who live on this ship. As long as they survive, a part of Equestria lives on with them."

And she'd even had to distance herself from the sweet-natured Bedivere to keep that secret. In her mind, the sacrifice wasn't worth it if she had failed in spite of it.
But she would worry about changing Britain's history once she found a way to save the entire world. Saving Britain would only be possible once she had done that. But for the present...
"I have not had the good fortune to encounter any of my subjects yet. I can but pray they were rescued."

Without unity, they would have no hope.
"I will keep your subjects in my thoughts as well - and I will hope that you will be reunited with them once again," Celestia said, inclining her head. She felt a great pity for Saber - she knew that it would be immensely difficult, to be alone and without one's subjects, unable to care for or protect them.
But today was also a day to lift one's spirits, for a spark of hope amongst the loss and grief. Celestia smiled gently. "Shall we return to the party?"
no subject
"You have my gratitude," Saber spoke with solemnity. Solitude was something she had become accustomed to long ago, but if her subjects were safe, somewhere, Saber would be happy.
"Yes," she replied, nodding her agreement.

"You are most welcome," Celestia said kindly. "It is the least that I can offer, in this situation."
And with Saber's agreement, Celestia guided her companion back towards the party.
