A Housewarming Party for a Castle

Celestia's new home was a grand residence indeed: the citadel of Camelot, a place which featured heavily in the myths and legends of Earth. Not that Celestia was familiar with these myths, of course.

Guests were free to wonder around the castle at will, but Celestia had decided that today, the courtyard would be a lovely place for everypony to get together. There were a few tables set up, with the treats Hoshi and Applejack had so generously made, and Rarity's beautiful decorations. And later, Celestia planned to invite her guests to ride on the Ferris wheel that happened to be located just outside the castle.

The crewmembers had suffered a great loss recently, but she hoped that this would bring them some small amount of joy, and the comfort of friendship in this time.

[[ooc: Sorry this is a day late guys, uni ended up being much more hectic yesterday than I expected. Anyways, I've put up a subthread for Celestia greeting visitors and rides on the London Eye. Those that ICly helped out this party can also set up sub-threads for the food tables/games/whatever as well, if you guys want to. (Edit: The sub-thread for Hoshi & Applejack's nibbles is up here!)

But other than that, feel free to start your own threads and tag each other. People can also wonder around and explore the castle - it's the BBC Merlin version of Camelot, but only the citadel itself (as opposed to the whole city).]]

Nokosi spent a good deal of time darting back and forth outside of the castle, checking out the stonework and peering at the fine details carved into the walls. Once his mild curiosity was settled, he made his way through the entrance of the castle and paused for all of two seconds at the sight that awaited him.

Then he ran.

"You are a talking pegasus," the elf stated as if it weren't obvious. "Hello!"

"I see." Truthfully it wasn't that strange to see some sort of talking animal, considering all the intelligent creatures that roamed Azeroth. They just usually minded their own business while everyone else fought it out.

"I have seen a pegasus before, and a unicorn, but not one in the same." Technically it was just a horned horse, but that was almost the same, right? "I had thought that perhaps you were a paladin's steed, but then I realized only a Dwarf would be small enough. And that would be ridiculous." And hilarious.

"Dwarves are a race of of people to short, stout Humans. They're only thiiiis tall." The elf raised a hand to his midsection in example. "About four feet, and they have enormous beards that go down to their stomach. Very hairy, crafty. loud, constantly drinking, an' they talk like this, lass!" He finished, attempting to do his best imitation of the gruff, raspy voice many of them possessed.

He'd probably gone through just about every Dwarven stereotype. "They're good people."

Her latter question was harder to answer, but he still did so; all while eyeing her multi-colored hair and golden tiara. It was so shiny.

"Most of the paladins I've seen usually have some very special sort of steed. And they're proud creatures adorned in golds, whites, blues and similar colors; things that have to do with their companion's holy status, you know."

"I hope so as well! Their drunken bar songs are the best," he cheerily exclaimed.

Her question made him scratch the stubble on his chin in thought for a moment, before he finally nodded. "I have seen some paladins with other companions, but many of them do have equines. They are a special type, I think; only paladins are allowed their companionship and they have to earn the right. They do not talk, but they are very intelligent. But that can be said for many creatures."

He appeared as if he was going to say something, then thought better of it. Instead, he clasped his hands behind his back and regarded the pony with an endlessly curious look that rivaled a child's.

"Equestria is where you once lived, correct? Is there anything beside horses that inhabit that land?"

A princess pegasus? Given the roles of lords and protectors of the forests in Azeroth, he could get behind that idea.

"Do they talk, too? Many animals can speak where I come from, but they're usually some sort of guardian or forest spirit." Or magical creature. "I think, though," he started, noticing the downcast expression on her face. "That you will get your home restored. I am looking forward to it as well, as my companions and I are sure to have missed each other!"

Despite the melancholy mood the conversation had turned to, there was a rather cheerful smile stretched on his face.
