A Housewarming Party for a Castle

Celestia's new home was a grand residence indeed: the citadel of Camelot, a place which featured heavily in the myths and legends of Earth. Not that Celestia was familiar with these myths, of course.

Guests were free to wonder around the castle at will, but Celestia had decided that today, the courtyard would be a lovely place for everypony to get together. There were a few tables set up, with the treats Hoshi and Applejack had so generously made, and Rarity's beautiful decorations. And later, Celestia planned to invite her guests to ride on the Ferris wheel that happened to be located just outside the castle.

The crewmembers had suffered a great loss recently, but she hoped that this would bring them some small amount of joy, and the comfort of friendship in this time.

[[ooc: Sorry this is a day late guys, uni ended up being much more hectic yesterday than I expected. Anyways, I've put up a subthread for Celestia greeting visitors and rides on the London Eye. Those that ICly helped out this party can also set up sub-threads for the food tables/games/whatever as well, if you guys want to. (Edit: The sub-thread for Hoshi & Applejack's nibbles is up here!)

But other than that, feel free to start your own threads and tag each other. People can also wonder around and explore the castle - it's the BBC Merlin version of Camelot, but only the citadel itself (as opposed to the whole city).]]

"It was, but I'm strong and durable!" Hoshi said, grinning wide. She looked up when Seraphiel arrived and held her arm up for him to make his perch.

"I'll have to see if Seraphiel likes cupcakes, then!" she replied, unable to help but laughing herself. "Yes, he is. Seraphiel, meet Celestia. Celestia, this is Seraphiel, my partner."

Just as she said partner, she couldn't help but turn around and wave at Shoutarou. "Hey, Shoutarou! Celestia, this is my big brother, Shoutarou. Shoutarou, this is Celestia!"

"A pleasure to meet you, Seraphiel," Celestia said, inclining her head to the eagle with a twinkle in her eye.

At Shoutarou's arrival, she looked up, smiling. "We have met before," she said, amused at Hoshi's enthusiasm. "I am glad you were able to make it, Shoutarou. I did not know that you and Hoshi were siblings."

Ahaha-ha-ha... I forgot about this thread. *Fail*

"Ah, likewise, and yeah, we met over lunch shortly after I woke up here," the detective added, completely understating their rather... eventful meeting.

"Well. Adoptive," he adds, grinning a bit.

"Was it a good meeting?" Hoshi asked curiously while Seraphiel cawed back, moving to relax on her shoulder for now.

"Yeah, what Shoutarou said. After a little bit, I came to see him as my big brother," she said, grinning herself.

Celestia laughed. "I'd say it was rather unusual," she said, amused. "That was when I first returned from the mazes. I'm afraid I did startle Shoutarou a little."

She looked over at the two humans. "That's wonderful to hear. I'm glad that the two of you were able to forge a new family for yourselves."

An awkward laugh came from the detective. "Well, you did drop in rather unexpectedly."

"Me too. Never had a little sister before, but I think I'm doing well enough, playing it by ear."

Hoshi perked up at that, thinking about it herself. "Oh, I think the same thing happened to me during our first meeting," she pondered aloud.

She turned to Shoutarou and gave him a wide smile. "You're definitely doing a good job! One day, maybe I'll be able to wear the hat."

"I would love to hear about how you two met," Celestia asked. Being able to learn about the lives of her ponies - or in this case, humans - was something she didn't always have time for as ruler of Equestria, so she always enjoyed the opportunity when it arose.

"That... Heh. That was a bit awkward, honestly. Hoshi found me at the gathering shortly after waking up, along with my partner I hadn't seen in a year. He was flling me in on stuff for a while before Hoshi entered the discussion. Bit of a rocky start, that..."

"Eheh... Yeah," Hoshi answered, scratching behind her head. "It was just a pile of misunderstandings on top of not seeing someone dear, but it got worked out and now we're pretty close to one another!"

"I am glad to hear it," Celestia said warmly. "Sometimes beautiful friendships can be born in the most unexpected places. Although perhaps today you both will have the chance to make a few new friendships as well."

"Agreed," the detective answered Celestia, then it dawned on him that he was still carrying things. "...where should I put these?"

"Ah, on the tables will do!" Hoshi answered Shoutarou's question and nodded to Celestia, smiling.

"You must have a lot of wisdom, Celestia!"

"Thank you! But then, I've had quite some time to develop mine. And even to this day, I find there is always more to learn," she said, smiling.
