Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

And then he chuckled. "Isn't that funny, though? The 'synthetic human', accusing me of sowing misinformation. Experiments like you... you're built for deception."
So maybe his disposition still needed a little work after all.
no subject
"Built for deception? How so?"

"Because my task was protecting them, and humans respond better to life forms that resemble other humans than to those that appear alien, robotic, or otherwise. However, it's not as though people didn't know what I was. We're fairly common on my version of Earth."
Boy, the Master and Ildraniath could start a club or something.
no subject
"Of course they do. If there's one thing humans excel at besides being deceived, it's deceiving themselves."
Watch out, Zouichi. The Master'd been in politics.
no subject
"Research suggests that you're right," he said, smiling pleasantly. "You sound like you've had experience with them before."
no subject
"I'd be careful, if I were you," he murmured, his tone soft and dangerous. "Human or not quite, a nurse surely ought to know better than that."
no subject
Okay, especially the people he was trying to save.
"Then it's a good thing I'm not a nurse," he said matter-of-factly. He knew that tone when he heard it... but he'd never been particularly good about heeding warnings. And if he were that easily cowed, he'd never have survived in his line of work. "I am trying to help you, you know. The least you could do is try not to actively hinder me."

Maybe the Master's personality was a little... difficult, but that didn't mean he wasn't a patient.

He groaned quietly, letting his head loll back on the cot. "I'm thirsty. I don't suppose it's too much to ask for a glass of water in this 'medical facility'?" To say the Master's tone was petulant would be making a severe understatement.
no subject
"If there's nothing else, I'll leave you to languish until a doctor can see you." Besides, it looked like the Master wasn't in any immediate danger.
no subject
"Oh, dear. You're too kind," he muttered.
