Holes and Patches [OPEN FREE FOR ALL]
After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.
The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.
Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.
[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

No problem, I'll just wait till you find out more :)
"Unfortunately," he said, "I'm not really a doctor. I can do some basic medicking, but that's it. What happened to you?"
The Master looked like he was a little worse off than the standard bumps, bruises, and broken bones that afflicted most of those on the battlefield.
no subject
Surely he'd be fine with a little bed rest. He was a Time Lord, after all. Surely?
no subject
He didn't have any medical supplies at the moment, but maybe he could keep the man talking for a while until it was time for his shift. At least distract him a little from the pain.
"You weren't playing around with any faulty wiring or anything, were you?"
no subject
"Undoubtedly," he murmured, closing his eyes.
no subject
"Right. My name is Zouichi; I'm part of Security here."
no subject
"Security? Not going to arrest me, are you?" Oh, wouldn't that be just like the Doctor, to pawn his little 'mortal enemy' problem off on someone else at first opportunity.
no subject
"Then again, it doesn't look like you're a flight risk."
no subject
Actually, his record so far on this ship had been flawless, seeing as the TARDIS was clearly out of Stacy's jurisdiction. Clearly. It was really a bit sad.
no subject
That must be why Zouichi hadn't seen the Master's name on any arrest reports!
Talked to Sarah and apparently Martha doesn't treat him. The nerve!
In fact, there's probably very little scrawled on the chart-- other than perhaps a few angry, illegible scribbles, judging by Martha's state of mind when she left his bedside.
/gasp!
Zouichi looked around for an available medic, but there were still none around. "I can try to do some basic treatment for your hands, if you'd like -- I sent out on the comm a little while ago, but it seems everyone's busy."
no subject
"Don't suppose you can do anything for the headache." You'd think he'd have been used to it by now, but this was far beyond the usual discomfort.
no subject
"And not currently, although I could put you out if you wanted." He mimed a brief chopping motion with one hand; he was great at knocking people unconscious! Although it was sort of super bad for you. "I'll go see if I can get something for you."
Zouichi wandered off in the direction where he'd seen Howard looking for supplies previously. Pain medication, bandages, and...
no subject
"Hurry back," he muttered sardonically as Zouichi slipped away.
no subject
"Feel like telling me if you're human? Or close enough to it? I borrowed a hypo from someone, but if you're going to have a violent reaction to human pain medication, now's the time to mention it."
no subject
The Master eyed the syringe. "What is it?"
no subject
Because while the Master wasn't being particularly cooperative, Zouichi would prefer if the drug didn't kill him or anything.
no subject
"Give it to me."

After a while he sighed again, a more comfortable sounding one this time, and relaxed into the cot. The drums were still there, but fading gradually into the background as his secondary headache dissipated. His fingers felt numb. Rassilon, it was wonderful.
no subject
"Well, looks like you're close enough."
no subject
"What do you think, Doc?" he smirked. "Will I play the violin again?"
no subject
"But I believe in you."
no subject
"Of course you do," and the Master smiled widely. "Humans. You're so quick to believe in anything and everything, aren't you?"
no subject
Or humans looked Time Lord"I'm not a human," Zouichi said, beginning to bandage one of the Master's hands without jostling the burned areas. It was a statement of fact, not a protest. "I'm a Synthetic Human. May I assume, then, that you pride yourself in sowing misinformation?"
