Hanger - TARDIS
[Takes place right after clone plot and arriving back on Stacy. After there]
“First sharks and now explosions!” The Doctor held up his ruined sonic screwdriver and turned it in the light. “I’ll have to proof against both, I suppose.”
He crossed the Hanger in long strides, expecting Otter Soother Daniel Jackson to keep up. Daniel had held himself rather well during the whole clone thing and what was more, he even saved his sonic for him! The Doctor found himself feeling rather fond of the human right this moment. Good man! Resourceful! But also being annoyingly close-mouthed about what he might have picked up from that encounter with the Other Doctor, which was surprising because he thought he knew humans and if there was anything he learned from all his time amongst them, it was they loved talking almost as much as he did! Questions in particular were their favorite, no matter how obvious or rhetorical or downright silly. Big big fan of the obvious questions. Basically they were a chatty species.
Part of the reason why he’d asked Daniel to come with him to the TARDIS.
If he was lucky, Daniel would tell him what he’d seen from that clone on his own, given enough time and company.
The Doctor was tucking the sonic back into his pocket when they came into sight of the TARDIS. He only paused for the briefest of beats as he took in the fact the old girl’s doors were wide open, positively gaping open! This wasn’t looking very looked out after and he wondered if maybe Jamie’s memory retention was failing thanks to him being an ex-dead man. Clearly the human needed a talking to! He approached cautiously, poking his head inside.
Everything in the console room looked in order, if you ignored the suspicious trail of foam cups leading away from the door and a few minute scratches on the glass which he knew for a fact hadn’t been there since he last checked. The Doctor’s lips pursed as he peered about, head weaving as he checked under the control console and then straightened. Where was Jamie? In fact, where were the rest of his friends?
“Better have a look around,” the Doctor lied, perhaps too cheerfully. “Long time away from home and I’m afraid River’s gone and organized things. I’m very specific on my organization system, I’ll have you know.”
He made a vague shooing motion at Daniel.
((So basically this is thread two, with the Doctor/Daniel/Rory jumping into a TARDIS taken over by the Master. Since the Master can switch up rooms (up to the players in the threads for what's wrong with the rooms) and trap people/shift people around, I guess assume timey-wimey things to allow different characters to stumble into each other? But yeah, I guess do subthreads for characters stumbling and we can subthread different people running into them.
I think we're looking at people in the TARDIS as: Victoria, Martha, The Master, River, Jamie, Doctor, Daniel, Rory, Amy, Eva. If I missed anyone, poke me!))

"Aye, when I came up through the door into the room. Ye told me your name was Eva."
no subject
"It is. Good. Do you remember what you felt when you introduced yourself to me? You seemed a bit lost in space."
As in, completely zonked. Also strangely fixated on cups.
no subject
"I'd not say I felt quite like that. I just knew I needed to put those cups out, and it was a wee bit difficult to focus on anything else."

There's something overwhelmingly sympathetic in her face. She knows too well what it's like to be controlled, and she suspects that's exactly what happened to him. She presses her lips together just a bit.

"It was after I talked to John," he admits, frowning slightly. "There was this...need, I guess. To try and get everyone out. But I didn't know where everyone was, and I thought maybe if I laid a trail..."
He breaks off, grimacing as his head twinges again, but that sympathetic expression she has on her face helps tone down the cranky tone underlying his next question - somewhat. "Did ye have to go and hit me that hard, anyway?"
no subject
"Here," she says, pulling her jacket off. She twists it up into a rope of cloth and hands it to him. "We'll find some ice momentarily and you can put this on your head. I'm sure there's ice somewhere in the Tollbooth. Maybe if we find the shoe tree again..."
If she can find her way around anything in here.
"And yes. I did need to hit you that hard. Now stop complaining."
no subject
"Aye, that's him. Not that that's his real name, if ye ask me. It's funny, though, he seemed to know an awful lot about the TARDIS." Which is definitely strange. How did he know about it if he'd only just woken up? Unless he was another version of the Doctor, and Jamie thinks that if that was the case, he would have said as much.
"Anyway, there should be ice in the kitchens. That is, if we can find them. I've not been able to even find the food machine since I moved back in."
no subject
"I don't think it's his real name either. Few parents are that uncreative anymore. And don't worry, if I can find our way back to the Forest I found a lovely tree full of ice and sneakers."
Big 'if' there.
no subject
"When I met him, I'd mentioned the Doctor's name, but he'd not said anything about being his friend. In fact, he seemed to think I was just referring to a regular doctor. Or...he made it look like he was thinking that."
His frown deepens into an outright scowl. It was beginning to look more and more like 'John' had tricked him, and he doesn't care for being tricked at all. He starts to try and get to his feet, using his hands to push himself upwards.
"Right. Let's go then. Even if we can't find the ice, maybe we'll find him instead. I'd like to have a few words if we do."
no subject
"Is that so? Well, then. I think I could stand to exchange a few words with him too."
Shall we have them get split up at this point?
Something seems off about the corridor they've found themselves in, but he can't quite place his finger on what. Maybe it's the lighting, or...it's hard to think with his head throbbing the way it is. It's much easier to just start walking and worry about that part of things later.
"This way, I think."
Sure!
Something's moving.
Too late, she turns around and reaches for Jamie's hand. Where he'd been standing is now a wall. "Dammit!" Eva shrieks, and smacks the wall as if it'll open up and reveal where her companion went.
It does no such thing.
no subject
"Eva? Eva! Och, that's just great. She's gone." There's a pause, then maybe something that could be a sigh. "Aye, well. Nothing to do for it but try this way and see if I can find her again."
His voice gets fainter as he starts to walk away, eventually fading out completely and leaving the corridor in silence.
