Hanger - TARDIS
[Takes place right after clone plot and arriving back on Stacy. After there]
“First sharks and now explosions!” The Doctor held up his ruined sonic screwdriver and turned it in the light. “I’ll have to proof against both, I suppose.”
He crossed the Hanger in long strides, expecting Otter Soother Daniel Jackson to keep up. Daniel had held himself rather well during the whole clone thing and what was more, he even saved his sonic for him! The Doctor found himself feeling rather fond of the human right this moment. Good man! Resourceful! But also being annoyingly close-mouthed about what he might have picked up from that encounter with the Other Doctor, which was surprising because he thought he knew humans and if there was anything he learned from all his time amongst them, it was they loved talking almost as much as he did! Questions in particular were their favorite, no matter how obvious or rhetorical or downright silly. Big big fan of the obvious questions. Basically they were a chatty species.
Part of the reason why he’d asked Daniel to come with him to the TARDIS.
If he was lucky, Daniel would tell him what he’d seen from that clone on his own, given enough time and company.
The Doctor was tucking the sonic back into his pocket when they came into sight of the TARDIS. He only paused for the briefest of beats as he took in the fact the old girl’s doors were wide open, positively gaping open! This wasn’t looking very looked out after and he wondered if maybe Jamie’s memory retention was failing thanks to him being an ex-dead man. Clearly the human needed a talking to! He approached cautiously, poking his head inside.
Everything in the console room looked in order, if you ignored the suspicious trail of foam cups leading away from the door and a few minute scratches on the glass which he knew for a fact hadn’t been there since he last checked. The Doctor’s lips pursed as he peered about, head weaving as he checked under the control console and then straightened. Where was Jamie? In fact, where were the rest of his friends?
“Better have a look around,” the Doctor lied, perhaps too cheerfully. “Long time away from home and I’m afraid River’s gone and organized things. I’m very specific on my organization system, I’ll have you know.”
He made a vague shooing motion at Daniel.
((So basically this is thread two, with the Doctor/Daniel/Rory jumping into a TARDIS taken over by the Master. Since the Master can switch up rooms (up to the players in the threads for what's wrong with the rooms) and trap people/shift people around, I guess assume timey-wimey things to allow different characters to stumble into each other? But yeah, I guess do subthreads for characters stumbling and we can subthread different people running into them.
I think we're looking at people in the TARDIS as: Victoria, Martha, The Master, River, Jamie, Doctor, Daniel, Rory, Amy, Eva. If I missed anyone, poke me!))

A chill went down Daniel's shoulder blades. Daniel patted Jamie's hand, hoping to comfort him, and hoping at the same time that maybe he could get Jamie back to the Doctor. He'd know what to do. Or if not, at least a way out of the TARDIS. They should get Jamie back to the Med Bay.
"Who told you that you have to find the cups, Jamie?" Daniel seemed to change his mind. "On second thought, why don't you walk with me? Tell me about it as we go."
no subject
Rather than answer the question about the cups directly, however, the Scot seems to change the subject ever so slightly. "The man said I needed to lead everyone out of harms way."
Something that's harder to do than one would imagine, given how the TARDIS was behaving. Quite suddenly, another wall appeared directly behind them, cutting off any attempt to go back the way they had come. A faint trickle of water could be heard now, like someone had installed a water feature somewhere nearby. If Jamie noticed it, he gave no sign, instead continuing forward.
"They have to be safe."
no subject
"You're going to have to be more specific than that. He said people wouldn't be safe. Who? From what?" Daniel started to ask. The sound of a wall slamming up behind them partially cut him off. He whirled. Where there had been a corridor back the way they'd came, there was now a very, and Daniel tested it just to be sure, solid wall blocking their way. It had the same roundels he'd seen around earlier, but other than that, it was relatively featureless compared to the rest of the TARDIS.
Daniel poked and prodding at it, hoping to find a switch or latch. Water. Strangely enough, there was the sound of water somewhere. just a teasing trickle, and they were in a corridor with only one way down towards the intersection. Daniel was not liking this.
"I really think we should get out of here." Because if Jamie wasn't going to care about anything besides cups, Daniel was going to have to do it for him.

As if to punctuate his words, the time machine shuddered, the lights in the corridor flickering briefly. They were closer to the corridor, which had been branching off to both the left and the right. Now it only opened on the left, and the sound of water was decidedly louder than before. In fact, it almost sounded as though someone was opening a tap somewhere, increasing the volume of liquid pouring through it.
Jamie reached the corridor and turned left. Whether or not he could agree with Daniel's statement about getting out of there, it looked as though there was only one way to go currently.

The lights flickered as if a storm had struck nearby. Daniel looked around. Just the same hall, now with only one way to go. Even Jamie went with it. Then again where else was there to go? He felt like they were rats in a maze. He just couldn't figure out what water had to do with it. Actually he could think of something, but he was going to hope he was very wrong this time.
Daniel followed after Jamie. "Do you hear that?" He didn't know how he couldn't, but the fact that the water sounded like it was increasing in volume was starting to get him even more worried.
no subject
"I don't hear anything," he replied, over a faint grinding sound coming from behind the walls of the hallway they were going down. From the bottom of those same walls seeped a small amount of water, leaking out from where they join with the floor and slowly starting to pool outwards. It wasn't a lot - not yet - but given that things have gotten louder still, it was only a matter of time before there would be more.
Off in the immediate distance the corridor ended in an open doorway that Jamie made a bee-line for, pulled inexorably along by the need to follow the hypnotic suggestion he was under. It appeared, however, there was another branching corridor just past it, barely visible through the doorway. Still, it was possibly a way out.
"This way."
hope this is okay
It was the same flight instinct that prompted the "haul ass now" response to any archaeologist worth their salt that decided to go sticking their necks out in new ruins. Unstable supports, earthquakes, avalanches, traps, armed grave-robbers, raiders, any and all of the above.
Jamie took the opportunity to beeline towards the door, as if the water didn't interest him. Daniel called up to him. "Hey, stop!"
The sick feeling was getting worse. Daniel ran up, and reached out and grabbed at the other man's arm, just as the door came down. It happened so fast that Daniel almost didn't even see it close. Daniel only jerked back on instinct, and it was the only thing that spared Jamie from getting crushed.
Perfect!
The sound of the water here was much louder, appearing to come from the ceiling, focused in a nearby area where a hatch was located. A panel was set into it, with smaller squares inset into it, much like a sliding puzzle. The door also had a panel as well, but it was much larger, with various bits and bobs and gears and levers and latches and other things attached to it.
Jamie continued to look blankly at it, then very, very slowly lifted his head up to where the hatch was, moving over towards it. Just as slowly, he lifted his arms, and although he wasn't a tall man, he was just tall enough to be able to reach the sliding pieces and begin to move them about the panel.
