Hanger - TARDIS
[Takes place right after clone plot and arriving back on Stacy. After there]
“First sharks and now explosions!” The Doctor held up his ruined sonic screwdriver and turned it in the light. “I’ll have to proof against both, I suppose.”
He crossed the Hanger in long strides, expecting Otter Soother Daniel Jackson to keep up. Daniel had held himself rather well during the whole clone thing and what was more, he even saved his sonic for him! The Doctor found himself feeling rather fond of the human right this moment. Good man! Resourceful! But also being annoyingly close-mouthed about what he might have picked up from that encounter with the Other Doctor, which was surprising because he thought he knew humans and if there was anything he learned from all his time amongst them, it was they loved talking almost as much as he did! Questions in particular were their favorite, no matter how obvious or rhetorical or downright silly. Big big fan of the obvious questions. Basically they were a chatty species.
Part of the reason why he’d asked Daniel to come with him to the TARDIS.
If he was lucky, Daniel would tell him what he’d seen from that clone on his own, given enough time and company.
The Doctor was tucking the sonic back into his pocket when they came into sight of the TARDIS. He only paused for the briefest of beats as he took in the fact the old girl’s doors were wide open, positively gaping open! This wasn’t looking very looked out after and he wondered if maybe Jamie’s memory retention was failing thanks to him being an ex-dead man. Clearly the human needed a talking to! He approached cautiously, poking his head inside.
Everything in the console room looked in order, if you ignored the suspicious trail of foam cups leading away from the door and a few minute scratches on the glass which he knew for a fact hadn’t been there since he last checked. The Doctor’s lips pursed as he peered about, head weaving as he checked under the control console and then straightened. Where was Jamie? In fact, where were the rest of his friends?
“Better have a look around,” the Doctor lied, perhaps too cheerfully. “Long time away from home and I’m afraid River’s gone and organized things. I’m very specific on my organization system, I’ll have you know.”
He made a vague shooing motion at Daniel.
((So basically this is thread two, with the Doctor/Daniel/Rory jumping into a TARDIS taken over by the Master. Since the Master can switch up rooms (up to the players in the threads for what's wrong with the rooms) and trap people/shift people around, I guess assume timey-wimey things to allow different characters to stumble into each other? But yeah, I guess do subthreads for characters stumbling and we can subthread different people running into them.
I think we're looking at people in the TARDIS as: Victoria, Martha, The Master, River, Jamie, Doctor, Daniel, Rory, Amy, Eva. If I missed anyone, poke me!))

River
Something wasn't right though. Something didn't feel right. She had this niggling feeling in the back of her head that something was wrong. That same feeling she got every time the Doctor drove the TARDIS with the brakes on. Only, much worse.
"Jamie? You alright?"
Re: River
Not by a long shot.
The last thud was more of a surprised whud as part of the ceiling suddenly caved in, showering the floor below with crusty bits of TARDIS and other odds and ends and probably-essential-parts-further-down-the-line. The Doctor tried to cling to a ceiling that was now sporting a fashionably big hole, his legs kicking for purchase as he tried to hold on tight as he could. He wheezed and grunted as he tried to haul himself up. Obviously he hadn't had the time to spot River: give him a second or two.
As old as the old girl was, the Doctor was sure she wasn't supposed to go caving in like that. The paper cup trail hadn't led up into that air duct but if there was anything he disliked more than apples and stupid questions, it was being pointed toward the painfully obvious direction. Loads of things you could miss if you just went where people told you to. In his experience, it was usually worth the detour to go the more scenic route. Today...might not be one of those days, the Doctor slipping and sliding toward the edge of the hole as he started to lose his grip.

"Doctor?" She can't quite hide that concerned note in her voice as she stands below him. Watching his fingers slip-slide dangerously. "Let g-oomph!" No sooner had she tried to coax him down did he come crashing down ontop of her. The solid weight of his body knocking the air from her lungs. He knocked her to the ground and landed solidly overtop of her.
When she regained her breath, she notices his face was less then an inch from her own. Really, this was like a complete reverse of that time she'd jumped out of that ship.
"I'm flattered, Doctor....but you're quite heavy."
I guess don't tell him the Master is inside the TARDIS? Cause he won't know until Master thread
"Yes, well, thank you," he said, trying to roll off her. "Have you seen Jamie? I told him to watch out for the old girl and the door was open when I got back from the mission."
Now, he understood humans had selective hearing. They were the masters of it, in his experience. River Song put many of them to shame, especially with how she kept dancing around his questinos about her. But this wasn't about her past or that odd military training or even the fact she knew all sorts of impossible things about him.
She doesn't know for sure it's the master anyway
pouncedfallen on by the Doctor. He was a suitable distraction, that's for sure and she certainly didn't mind the intimate quarters they found themselves in at the moment. She even considered flirting a bit more, but obviously there are more important things at work here."I'd like to have a bit of a word with him as well." River say as she gets to her feet and dusts off her clothing. "You bruised me, by the way. Naughty boy." Who was she kidding? There was always time for flirting!
"Doctor, do you sense that? Something - the TARDIS doesn't feel right. This shouldn't happen and things are not where they're supposed to be." The Doctor doesn't yet know the whole reason why, but River seems intimately connected to the TARDIS. Perhaps every bit as connected as he happened to be. She knew something was wrong, something beyond the obvious.

He hits River with his best I'm the Doctor; it's only natural you trust me beam. "I'm already looking into it, so don't worry! I'll sort it and we'll find Jamie and give him a good talking to."
He snooped about the room, pausing to look up at the hole he fell through. It's still cracking at the edges, the paint itself looking worn down and...displeased, he'd even dare to say. The TARDIS hasn't looked this out of sorts since he blew out her windows regenerating or took potshots when he'd been possessed by Dark Soul. Whatever has infected the TARDIS, she's not liking it and is trying her best to fight back. The Doctor reaches out toward one of the roundels in the wall, giving her a carress and wishing they could actually talk to her, reassure her. River, he didn't think needed much reassuring.
Then again, she isn't the one turning topsy-turvey.
His hand drops away from the roundel. The Doctor wheels around toward River.
"Right! So! I've had a bit of a snoop and I found this," the Doctor reaches elbow deep into his pockets, which aren't nearly as magnificent as Jamie's super sporran and pulls out what looks like an eggbeater's evil godmother. He lets it hang from his pinky. "Take a look."
It dangles there, scorched and seemingly like it's just blown out. But he's taken a good look -- several, even -- and it's just a little too perfect, all the scorch marks in the right place to hide sabotage. Considering the fact River knows how to pilot the TARDIS, he thinks she must know enough to recognize the part and what the damage is. She's a smart, ridiculously well-traveled woman.

She steps back to let him examine the hole, a grim look on her face. This had to be fixed and quickly before someone got hurt. "Amy and Molly are somewhere in this mess." She didn't think she had to remind the Doctor, but it's good to keep his priorities in order.
When he dangles the piece from the TARDIS infront of her, she reaches to take it from him. Turning it around and around in her hands, looking it over with a growing frown on her face. "Sabotage." Her final conclusion as she hands it back to him. She actually looks sick to her stomach - it was almost bizarre how connected to the TARDIS River was. She didn't like the TARDIS brake noise and she definitely didn't like what was going on here.

Maybe there's hope for River yet!
"I know. We'll have to look for them at the same time, try to stick together." The Doctor pauses to take in River's inspection of the damaged part: he's studying her reaction to it, even though he knows she's familiar with the TARDIS, and he'll never admit it's impressive how quickly she reaches the exact same conclusion. "Exactly. There's very few people out there who could sabotage the TARDIS."
He takes the device back. It's ruined. There's no salvaging it, even with his rather hazy definition of the word. Probably have to rig together a new one with spit, luck and some scrounged up parts. His jaw works as he stares down at it. Not that he's any closer to fixing the TARDIS but this certainly isn't helping things. He can't very well try to get the old girl flight-worthy when she's constantly changing rooms on him, even if he does find that intruder. The Doctor looks up at River.
"Let's try the secondary console room first."
If they can get a scan of the TARDIS's inhabitants right now, it's possible they could find that intruder. He hopes whoever it is, they don't know about the secondary console room. As for River, well. If she knows what the blue boringer does and how to turn off the brakes, then she probably knows about the other console room already. One of these days he's going to find out just exactly how much of the TARDIS she knows.
It's already too much for his liking.
And later on...
"River, stay back!" Even that small movement caused the metal walkway to creak in a very unhealthy sounding way, and it swayed alarmingly, in a way it really shouldn't. From here, he could see where the supports had been weakened. Too much weight, and the whole thing would collapse. He was light enough - barely - that it still held together for now, but if anyone else set foot on the thing...
"It'll fall if ye come any further."
no subject
"Alright. We can fix this." Without Jamie's death - because the Doctor would be so upset. "The only way out is to pull an Indiana Jones. Just run for it and hope you get over to solid footing before the floor gives out complwtely beneath you." It's almost like she's dealt with this kind of situation before. Then again, she is an archaeologist.

Nothing to do for it but run, and he sprinted for the edge as the stressed metal groaned and started to detach from the supports. He was almost there when the walkway gave out under his feet, and the Scot jumped in an effort to clear the last space between the catwalk and where River was standing.
There was a fleeting moment where he thought he really should have morphed first before he found himself clinging onto the edge of the platform in a way that was all too familiar. "Och, not again."
It could be worse, he supposed. He had a decent enough grip, and this time it wasn't slippery. Now, if he could just reach that protrusion with his foot there...

"Come on, Jamie. Show me what scotsmen are made of."

It gave him a place to redistribute some of his weight so he wasn't completely trying to hang from his arms - which in turn meant River didn't have to work as hard to keep him from slipping. It was still difficult, and there was more than one or two grunts of effort from Jamie, but with her assistance, he was finally able to heave himself up onto the platform and to at least temporary safety.
He lay on his back for a minute, the better to catch his breath. Once he felt confident enough to talk again, he rolled over enough so he could look at the archeologist. "That was a nearer thing than I would have liked. If you'd not been here..."
