Kung-Fu Human
Some people might assume that, by the way he still wore his coat like armor, and carried his sword slung across his back, that he was uncomfortable, paranoid, or simply overly concerned about being on this ship. The truth was, he wore those as a matter of course.
Free from the slime-filled cocoons where he had apparently been asleep for the Record knows how long, the Akashic had decided that, rather than harass or bother the people who had clearly been here for some time for a tour, he was going to make his own. With the help of the omnicomm in his hand and a general sense of adventure, Morgan was walking the length and breadth of the traversible areas of the ship, poking into corners and making curious noises at various things.
If it was all terribly unsettling to him, he had no intention of showing that.

The City
"Tesla's violet rays, but it's good to see you. So, there are a couple things I can show you down here. The question is, where do you want to go first, really?"

Before anything, though, he held Stephen out for a brief 'are you starving yourself to death forgetting to eat, you moron' check.
no subject
But no, not starving.
"Well?" Stephen asked, impatiently.
no subject
"How am I supposed to pick where I want to go when I don't know the options, Stephen?"
no subject
He arched his brows and grinned. "Or we could just go straight to the place that surprised the hell out of me when I found it here."
no subject
If it surprised Stephen, it had to be good.

But he certainly felt that Doissetep was worth it, considering what it meant to the Traditions as a whole. He gestured to it grandly as they stood on the reddish soil surrounding it.
"I haven't been in there too far yet, for obvious reasons, but how cool is that?!"
no subject
"How did this even get here? I mean, is it -- is this the real thing?"
no subject
"It's real enough, as far as I can tell," Stephen said. "Like I said, I haven't tried to go digging too far into it, because I figured it'd be my luck that something would fall on my head or something. I'd just get in trouble somehow, you know?"
Not that Stephen's intuition was amazing. It wasn't. Still.
"We could always take a quick look or two around. Now. Or at some point."

That's what happened when you stuck your nose in your lab for too long.
"Seriously, though, the City is a place where mostly, Stacy doesn't have sensors, so it can be pretty dangerous. I'd actually want to be prepared to go in there, which at the moment, I'm not. So...I'll just put it on the list."

Stephen didn't know aaaaanything about that, right Morgan?
no subject
no subject
"What?" Stephen asked, giving the Akashic a blank look.

"Besides, I'm already planning his comeuppance. And it's not going to hurt anyone, so you don't have to worry about it." Stephen said, scowling.
"Anyway, I'm sure it won't take any time for you to do what you do best--pick up a passel of lady followers."
no subject
At his next comment, Morgan just grinned wryly. "Are you kidding? Stephen... I can't take my shirt off any more." He made a show of tugging at the plantsuit. "I have NOTHING now!"
no subject
"You know, there are places to get clothes on the ship, idiot. Or shore leave. I've picked up a few things from shore leaves before, so it's not like you have nothing."
Stephen rolled his eyes. Admittedly Morgan's ease at picking up ladies had always sort of annoyed him.
no subject
He'd had the impression there were no places left for it to stop.
no subject
"Yeah. There are a couple of places. Hell, we're in orbit around a planet right now, though there was a monkeywrench in the mission, from what I understand. We're not allowed down and right now our away team can't come back. I'm not sure why."
Then again, guess who didn't really pay attention to that sort of thing? You guessed it, Morgan. Your best friend.

He did grin at that, quite a bit. "He's a good guy. He's been a bit busy between Engineering and his new girl, but he was one of the ones who helped me keep my sanity when I first came here. Good people."
no subject
"So let's see your lab then. I need to know where it is when I come after you with a crowbar to get you out of it, don't I?"
no subject
"This way then." He beckoned Morgan on with a hand and led him off.
The lab was hardly as impressive as the one Stephen had had back home, but clearly the Etherite had been doing the best he could with what he had. Stephen gestured to the Tesla coils, dim now, as they entered.
"Those're new," he said. "Made those to goof around with. Kind of like a personal project, really. They have a MIDI guitar to go with them." So clearly he was still up to his old tricks.
He was really most proud of his recent acquisition, though. "I think you'll be most happy with this."
Stephen gestured at the vehicle shape that sat beneath the blue cloth before grabbing it and pulling it off to reveal the car.
That's right, Morgan. It's a Ferrari Infinity. Just like yours.
Stephen just smiled smugly.
