Getting out of the 'house'. [Open]

Now that the crisis concerning the clock and the children were over, she couldn't be more thankful. The gurgling roar that filled her mind had died down to a more manageable but similarly annoying simmer that continued to give her plenty of reason to be eternally displeased. Still, if she planned to be anything more than a lethargic shut-in, it would require her to brave the 'babbleroar'.

Mulling over her choices for some time, she eventually decided on Hydroponics and made her way there. With the minimal amount of time she'd actually spent on Earth after joining with the Superhomeys, most of her encounters with the natural world were only conjured up from the depths of her memories.

She began walking through the wide expanse of shrubs, trees and other vegetation, intent on both relaxing and rebuilding her mental imaging of how forests and jungles were actually supposed to appear.

"Is that so? Why tho? Are there a lot f things that make ya uneasy hun?" He asked concerned.

"Ah I get'cha. We're supposed to do that as ghosts... but the spectre training messed with my emotional dampeners and they figured it'd be too dangerous to reinstall them. So they just let me be me I s'pose. Not that I ever posed any danger to them."

"I'm generally this mellow from what I can tell. It got on some people's nerves but hey, not my fault they're always so jittery or upset, nervous what have you. And yeah I can see that, but back home there was a wide variety of psionic powers, each unique to the individual as to how they acquired them. Not everyone manifested all the same powers, some had more, some had less, some had never before seen powers."

"Yup, we pretty much were. Specially since we were rare. Whoever had the best cover ops had a big advantage. Far as never before seen? Hmmm, well there was one of Mengks' officers could project his image for crazy distances and then teleport to the location he saw. No one knew his limits but lets just say that he could get from one planet to the closest planet without blinking an eye."

"High up on the rungs is an understatement. He was always by Emperor Mengks' side unless doing a job for the ol' coot. But again, unique, and many of us developed either the basics, or specialized powers unique to each person."

"Mine?? I have two actually. First, my body can adapt to any form of DNA and assimilate it. Which is why I was chosen for the project that got me my code name. I'm currently a zerg, terran, toss hybrid of sorts. Secondly, I can shift my body to allow me complete transformation, kind of like shapeshifting, but psionically enhanced, which in turn allows me to empower the 'illusion' by not allowing doubt to rise in the people I interact with when I'm shifted."

He nods and shakes his head afterward, "After I've assimilated the DNA, if there's something I dislike, or that would be negative to me, I can discard it as if it was just natural body waste. And yes, any DNA as far as the tests concluded."

"Well, for one, I have the DNA of the 'top three' races in my universe... That was until we found the peak of the food chain. Tho we never got a chance to acquire a sample of them."

Splicer leaned back, looking up as if recalling a long lost memory. "Wish I knew a lot about them actually. They sorta popped up during the last wars. They were called the Hybrid. Or that's what most of the people at the labs called them. The perfect joining of zerg and protoss by the Xel'Naga.... It's... sort of a long story, but the nutshell? They encompassed everything we feared and more. The perfect beings and the destroyers of all universes if and or when they managed to completely merge."

He turns to look back to her and shrug, "But right before we were on our way to engage another one of their assaults... this happened." He nodded to the skies as if pointing at Stacy. "Out of the pan and into the fire huh?" He chuckled.

"Yeah, kinda sucks don't it? But it's cool, it's part of the job description I guess." He chuckled and smiled at her.

"But they were more like the 'We claim we gave life to the universe and thus it's our right to destroy it' kinda fellows"

"No one knew but the few who where linked to the Prophecy.... The Overmind... Zeratul... Tassadar.... and later on... Kerrigan." The last name, might sound familiar to her if she remembers the people from their podpop.

"Heh, yeah, it's a pretty wild universe. Specially the moment these three races 'bumped' into each other. That's when the real party began, so I don't mind having a chat with you about it."

He paused and nodded, looking up for a moment. "There's Kerrigan... but she's about the same timeline as I am, at least the moment we were picked up from seems to coincide. She was the 'big bad boss' of our universe till the hybrids showed up... but where we left off she had been 'redeemed' or so everyone hoped." He paused and smiled.

"But that's where it all stopped and this began, so I can't say for sure if she's still the same nut case, or really redeemed as to the hopes of good ol Jimmy."

"She's bad news, depowered or not, if she went berserk. I'm built to fight psions specifically, but not on the tier level of the fully powered queen of blades. No one could. Only one to even come close was believed to be dead after the Brood wars." He looked up for a moment,

"I'm not one to judge tho. I check on her every once in a while, but not really expectin' anything. Mostly to check her state of mind. Seems settled enough even if she dislikes this current predicament, but that can be said about us all."

He chuckled, "With a name like that, he sounds like bad news. Like a video game villain."
