Celebratory drinks
It hadn't been long since he'd received the news of his success in obtaining the open spot in the council. He had little doubt that there had been a close running between he and at least one of the others, if their time on the ship and popularity were anything to go by. Nevertheless he had been voted in and he intended to do what he did best. If he could turn Sanction from a down trodden slave ridden city to the prosperous city it was before he'd been brought here, he could help this ship work for the better. He no intentions of letting the crew down.
As he had told Kang over the omnicomms he could hardly refuse a celebratory drink or two, to do so would be rude after all. A good drink on such an occasion couldn't hurt and so he was once more at the door to the Drunken dragon. Pausing for but a moment at the threshold of the door, schooling his thoughts before striding to meet with his fellow councilor, governor and the only other from Krynn. A draconian and a dragon on the same council, even if no one knew of it. They would know in time though, Kang would know in time, but for now he pushed that thought to the back of his mind, tonight was meant to be celebratory night after all.

He indicated the two bottles, "I managed to find these down on XaXing. They're liquors from Earth, and they taste a hell of a lot better than dwarf spirits."

Luck was with her today. She trotted in and found both of the people she'd been hoping to see. "Dai stiho," she said, leaping onto the bar. "Well met, Councilor, and congratulations. I'm Councilor Rhiow, I know you already know Hh'ann."

It didn't take long for the newly elected Councilor to notice the familiar feline even as she trotted into the bar, dipping his head in greetings to the other councilor, "Greetings and well met Councilor Rhiow, a pleasure to meet you and thank you,"

He laughed, "Here's to hoping you do, then. The drink I miss most, though, is cactus juice. I was lucky enough to find several casks here, but it didn't last long."

She needed to find a steady source of power aboard the ship, something like a central catenary to tie into when she needed a boost or a long-term spell. "I'd use the thamaturgical battery but I drained it with the shield around Ssam's den. I'm going to need to pass it to Arhu soon." She flopped down on her side, yawning hugely. She was also ravenous, a byproduct of the continuous energy expenditure.

He shook his head with a chuckle at that, "I can't imagine it would have, I believe I know the one you speak of, had a cask or two in storage before all of this. I shall have to check if it's still there once I find it," After all he had acquired it from traders from Teyr as well as another cask he believed during the beginnings of talks with Kang's government.

He quirked an eyebrow ridge at Bight, amused, "Really? What I wouldn't give to see the look on Slith's face when he finds out it was popular enough to make its way out of Teyr."

She flicked her ear, yawning hugely, and then turned to address Bight. "So. Ready to step into the game? There's the usual mix of people to watch out for and those that aren't any threat. There's a few more that I think know more about playing haiushh than they let on, and I've been keeping an eye on them."
no subject
"Indeed, but of course, merely a step into another game. After forty years of dealing with Sanction and it's troubles I'm ready for whatever this crew might throw at us," He replied with quite the confidence before picking up the shot Kang had poured for him, looking to Rhiow as he did "Oh? Do tell,"
no subject
"Well, what are you waiting for? Drink it." He downed his own shot, demonstrating how to do it properly.

She tilted her head to Kang to see if her evaluations were met with agreement. She knew they had somewhat different opinions at times, but they were usually on the same page on Council matters.

Turning his attention once more to Rhiow as she spoke on the various council members and their individual attributes and ideals, nodding to each observation in turn. "A well rounded council it would appear, practicality balanced by idealism and morals, as well as efficiency," He gave a nod to Kang at the last part.

"Water would be lovely, thank you," she said, and sat back to clean out some of the sawdust from under her claws. "Then of course there's the Prince, who mostly seems to want to please the crew, and h'Nehaalis-tha - one of the very last of her kind, a kind of holy woman. She and Sshe-ta get along about as well as two toms in the mating season."

He picked up the next shot Kang had poured even as Rhiow spoke on the others on the council, nodding as she spoke, he would take all the information he could on his fellow council members. The price he had not heard much of, pleasing the crew was not a bad goal, if not an all too..crucial one when compared to others. Nehaalista, a holy woman? A priestess of some kind? He had dealt with many holy women over his time, many could be rather set in their ways. Shaking his head with a chuckle at the analogy, "About as well as a Dark knight and a Solamnic in the same room? Two to keep an eye on then," He commented with a chuckle and a glance to Kang before downing the shot.

He could still hear the two talking, and when he came back and set the bowl down, he laughed, "Nehaa is a paladin, and she doesn't like demons on principle. She's not anywhere near as insufferable as a Solamnic, though. Nor is Zetta anything like a Dark Knight; he doesn't even bother to pretend to have any honor." It was obvious from the shortening of her name and the tone of his voice that she was a close friend.

"In any case, I look forward to seeing what you will add. We're a big bunch of very different people and it's tough to get us to agree on anything but the most obviously beneficial solutions."
