Ca-chick! Sure, maybe cameras weren't meant to make that noise. The ones she was used to had been more of a puff of air, a soft click, and then a bright flash of light when the bulb went off. This still had the flash, if it didn't always go, and some option that recorded video. Armed with a new toy she could actually sort-of almost work, Sakura was ready for action.
Which was turning into a day alternating between work and getting around the ship with her camera, taking snapshots of just about any- and everything. She was out by the Great Wall, in the Art Hall, slipping through various parts of the City, and even trying for some reason or another to document the Mess Hall and Medical Labs. Then there was the time she was sitting out by the railroad tracks, waiting for the train to come by, or pacing outside the Atori Teahouse looking for the best angle for a shot of the place.
Beware, crew members, should her path cross with yours, you may be next!
Ca-chick! Flash!
If it's not all that intimidating...
"Not again!"
... Considering she just half-blinded herself after accidentally setting a five second timer and turning the camera around to see why it wasn't taking the picture she was aiming for.
[ ooc: Excuse for photographic and/or video evidence of people running around as children? Say it ain't so, Jack, say it ain't so! I mean, there's lots of other things to photograph as well! ]

Hesitating for a moment, he adds a polite, "Please?" to the request, figuring it couldn't hurt. Satisfied with that, he promptly goes right back to trying to figure out how to get the picture to come back - without much success. Finally he gives up and holds it up to her so she can show him how to so get it work properly.
"How do ye make it do that, anyway?"

Once it's properly adjusted, he looks expectantly back up at her. "Now what?"

Once he's satisfied his urge to take a wee bit of a peek, he switches sides, trusting that if he can go back more than once, he can go forward more than once, too. And, eventually, he gets back to the picture of her he took.
With a small, crooked smile, he holds the camera back up so she can see. "There ye are. Is that all right, do ye think?"
no subject
"Hmm," she said, cradling her chin with one hand as she mulled over his question. Slowly, she smiled. "I think it's great."
no subject
"Good," he replies, looking pleased that she likes the image. And that seems to satisfy him enough to hand back the camera - or maybe it's just he doesn't want to take the risk of doing something wrong and causing her to lose the pictures. "Here ye are. What are ye going to do with them when you're done?"
no subject
Which had her looking back to Jamie, smiling. "Is that something you'd like? Maybe the photo I took of you? I can't make any real promises right now, but if I can get this all figured out in the future..."
no subject
If that's the case...he nods, enthusiastically. "Aye! I'd like one of those photo-things if ye can get one." It occurs to him, however, she doesn't even know who he is - or he her, for that matter. It might help her if she knows who he is, he thinks. "My name's Jamie. Jamie McCrimmon. I'm staying in that great blue box in the place with all the flying beasties."
no subject
Then she has it! She's scrubbed inside that blue box once before, if she's thinking of the right one in the Hangar. "That's the TARDIS, right? I know where that is. Though I like your estimate on what's out in the Hangar better than most. Some of those machines really do look like giant flying beasts, don't they?"
no subject
And she knows where - the TARDIS is too, which is a bit of a relief. He's not at all sure he'd be able to explain where it was much beyond what he already has. He doesn't even think to question the fact she knows what it's called. Everyone already seems to know that anyway, so he doesn't worry about it.
There's a enthused nod at her question. "Aye, they do! Did ye see that big red one that looks like a serpent? Or the one that looks a wee bit like a horse in the front and a bug at the back?"

All the Zords, in other words, which isn't too surprising given his former Ranger status - well, that and the fact he's always been interested in beasties, no matter what age he is.
He eyes the slop that he really doesn't want to go back to eating, then glances over at Sakura's camera, a thoughtful expression stealing over his face. "Say, have ye taken pictures of those yet?"

Read: a lot. Besides which, if he shows her, he won't have to sit there and continue to stare at the slop that he really doesn't want to eat.
"Do ye want to go down there?"
no subject
Which is when she can get back to monitoring the kids who needed the help -- or who were hanging around MedBay because they have nowhere else to be.

Caught up in the excitement of getting to go down and see the flying beasties in the hangar, he gives into the impulse to dart out of the room, leaving his tray behind for whoever wants it. After a second or two, he sticks his head back in. "Come on, let's go!!"
And he's off, heading down to the Hangar, where he'll happily show Sakura all his favorite flying beasties and the other one he mentioned (Serenity) and help her with whatever pictures she wants to take of them. It's a good afternoon, for him. Hopefully it'll be a nice break for her as well.
