A New Look [Open]
What is known: when the crew came to XaXing for Shore Leave, Sasami was made a rich girl - two sets of memories spanning a combined total of just over a millennium would do that for someone wanting to sell them to someone who wanted to buy memories. Sasami had spent plenty of that money to help stock up her little restaurant and her house with enough food and other things to last them until another stop, if not longer. But, it did leave her with so much more to indulge on, yet it left her holding the bag - she had no idea, at the time, what to do with it.
What isn't known: that after a few false starts, Sasami had finally figured out what to get from there... and it made her a little more than a bit embarrassed about wanting to be seen in them. One of those things was an interesting collection of clothes. During her wandering, she had passed by a clothing shop and, while she had every intention on picking up either casual clothes or those close to her usual Juraian-style kimonos, there were a few that especially caught her eye.
At the moment, in an abandoned building, she was trying out one of those. The person had said that it was fit for a princess and it certainly fit: the bright white, gold and pink colors, the intricate design pattern on the outer jacket gloves and boots, the flared skirting. It was like it was made for a princess.
Finding a mirror to look at herself, a bit smile formed on her face, giving herself a little spin as if showing someone with her a full look of her in it. Despite all her want and need to help, wearing this gave a sense of just being herself...

She had been careful to keep the sarcasm out of her voice, but also just enough to also keep her voice at a decent level: she may have been in her Hit Girl costume, but right now she was rocking a hangover that was enough to make a migraine welcome. Normally she would never wear her costume or this, but she looked like SHIT as Mindy at the moment. The mask and purple hair were perfect for this.
"It looks kinda...poofy."
no subject
"Yeah, well... I think it's cute." she admitted. "And it may be poofy, but... it's unique."
no subject
"What prompted the wardrobe change?"
no subject
By this time, she noticed Hit Girl woozy. "H-Hey, are you alright?"
no subject
She rubbed her head. "I took one of Negi's pills and...well, I drank a lot, I guess."
no subject
Her eyes went wide as she heard what Mindy had done. "You drank? Why?!" She'd seen how bad drinking binges get - mostly from incidents involving a slighted Ayeka against a Ryoko who could drink the world out of its sake.
no subject
"I said I would," Mindy replied. "If it was to anyone else, maybe I might have waited, but it was Ruff, so...I aged up and drank. We were insane."
no subject
There was a hint of worry in her voice as she spoke. She was more scared at she'd get hurt in her state.
no subject
"It would have been fine if the stupid pills had kept!" Mindy answered. She sighed. "Hell, I told Ruff I would, so I did. I keep my word. That's just how I work."
It was weird, but she rolled that way. "And anyway, what person is just kept down by what they can't do anyway? You test your limits, its how you know you can get stronger."
no subject
"Look, Mindy, you're not looking too good. You should go and lay down for awhile. It won't help you if you're staggering around like that. Okay?"
It might be scolding her, but she's concerned about her friend.
no subject
"Not really a point in staying still, its painful either way...but whatever you say, dear." Hit girl said the last part in faux humble tone, sounding like an abused husband.
"How are you and Negs doing?"
no subject
"Well, I haven't seen him in awhile, but I'm sure he's doing fine." Sasami said, not really knowing that he got caught up in that fight with Signum.
no subject
"Well, two things: I need to learn more magic from him. Right now, despite how much better in the body and training I am from Ruffnut, I still am trailing behind her when it comes to actual power and energy: she can still channel her energy when it comes to fighting. It's embarrassing."
And then came the other things. "And, uh, one other thing. This is something directed to you, Princess: when did you know you actually liked Negi that way?"
no subject
She scratched her head as she continued. "It probably didn't help with what we did during it..." The ploy to help an adult Negi, their little date, the Pactio during the attack...
no subject
Which was why, when she thought about it, the person she needed wasn't someone who would worry: it was someone as crazy as she was, who would fight and keep fighting until they won or died.
"Really? Tell me more: I'm sort of thinking about how I can relate."

"T-Thank you, Hikari-chan!" Sasami said, trying to recover. "Yes, I did, actually...!"

"Well, I've been taking a bit of interest in archery." Sasami admitted. "After seeing Reimi do so, I couldn't help but try it myself..."
no subject
Heck, maybe she should try having Reimi teach her that too. More knowledge couldn't hurt, after all.
