Open, Bathhouse, 2 years younger

Cagalli in the bathhouse isn't an odd sight at all. It's pretty much her favorite place to relax alone, even if the 'alone' part ends up not working out for all that long, depending on the day.

If you don't really look closely, there's nothing out of the usual here, but beyond that... she's a bit smaller, her face just a little more youthful. She also looks like she's ready to slip into the water, just that little bit, and take a nice deep breath. Not that she's considering it, but she really wears her emotions out in the open.

"Things had been difficult?" She looked up, curious. Sakura wasn't being as careful with her wording as she should have been, if she didn't notice in that moment.

"There's been a... a war. It reached Orb recently." Cagalli is happy to dance around the biggest thing weighing on her mind for now though.

War everywhere. For everyone. Sakura wondered if that was one of the underlying factors that could tie so many of them together -- or drive them apart. "War... I'm sorry to hare about that. Would you like to talk about it?"

In her limited experience, the answer was almost always a resounding no.

She shakes her head slowly. "Maybe... maybe later. I'll have to talk to someone eventually, after all." Does Sakura have to deal with war as well? Who here doesn't have some kind of conflict?

She wonders at that eventually. Back home, most folks probably never would. Who talked?

Really, who did? "Whenever you want to." Sakura felt awkward, if at the same time... "I'm more than happy to lend an ear. Two, even." She smiles, pulling at both her lobes.

She's not sure what she can do, but listening? That much she can offer.

To someone, anyways. Lacus, or Kira, or Athrun - one of the people she trusted most. It wouldn't be healthy to just stew in it forever.

She flashes another smile at the other woman, settling back into the bath. She doesn't feel relaxed, but that might have been too much to hope for. With everything going on, outside of anything she understood, she had to learn new ways of making herself relax.

After all, she knew how bad stress was for the system. "You know what else would be great around here, in my opinion?"

"What's that?" She sank down a bit, trying to get herself relaxed again. A bit of a futile effort, but she still felt better than she would in a lot of places.

"Well trained massage attendants." She was probably joking. Where would they even get enough basalt to do a proper stone massage? At least the rest were fairly straight forward... oh, and how many different styles from all these worlds?

Sakura laughed at the non-productive turn her thoughts had taken. Massage had a place in therapy as it was, but if she could have pipe dreams... it was odd how good the idea had sounded in her own head for that moment.

Cagalli's eyes lit up. Did they have anyone here who knew how to give a really good massage? She could definitely go for one, even if just thinking about would probably just make her disappointed. "That would be amazing... we could turn this place into a full-on spa with all sorts of things like that."

Outside of the woman lounging in the water with Cagalli right then, Sakura had no idea. "Mmm, we might even be able to make our own oils and tinctures. Candles, too." Possibly even incense, if one focused on oil-based scent distribution.

"If you can figure out a way to get something like that started..." Well, they'd have at least one eternally loyal customer, something that would only be more definite once Cagalli's time went back to normal.

"Think if I volunteered, anyone else would speak up?" Not that she fancied taking up massage exclusively. Limiting, in the scope of what she could do, and not stimulating enough a field of study. If it could lure out others, on another hand... she snorts. "A medic moonlighting as a spa therapist. That's not something I figured I'd ever even consider before."

"I sure hope so. One person can't handle all of that, unless you made it your only job, and I know you're a good medic too." Maybe they could actually go through with this idea. Or... Sakura could anyways, Cagalli didn't know a thing about massaging people.

The compliment was nice, and unexpected. Sakura smiled, shaking her head. "I don't have anything close to that much spare time," she said simply. "Though maybe we can set up some kind of class for it. Or I can." She paused. "I wonder who I'd have to talk to about that."

"I don't really know... I've never tried to start anything like that, so I can't really say for sure." She shrugged. "Just getting people interested would be nice."

She made a waving motion with her hand. "Relative calm. I don't think there's any true calm, given the circumstances."

She leans forward, starting to stand. "But it makes what you can get that much more important. A chance to breathe. Stretch a little, too."
